  • We watched this in school after reading the book. Good story :)

  • though outdated still a good movie

  • At about 7:15 I was expecting a sea monster to show up, but then I remembered this wasn't one of those types of movies. Lol.

  • Where can I find an updated movie? Correct me if I am wrong but I recall one that came out during the early 1990s as well as an animated movie.

  • @TheIGPD not so sure on the animated feature, but i do recall one with Ice T in it. That one was pretty good no matter what some critics said lol.

  • very good movie but i like the story better

  • Hahaha we watched this in English class after reading. We laughed so hard when the guy said "OH! ITS GOT ME!"

And I love how after all he's been through, Rainsford's pants are still hitched up super high XD

I was also expecting that girl to fall out of the tree X3

  • THANKS FOR UPLOADING!!!! I've always wanted to see this movie!

  • @LemitriDawkins You are very welcome Enjoy!

  • they shoiuld have used john rambo im sure zaroff would love trying to hunt him!

  • lol 27.24 dramatic zaroff!

  • Modern women should take an example from Eve. If the ones you love are in danger, don't try to help or save them, just scream idiotically and it'll all be okay.

  • I take no credit for this movie. I am grateful for everyone who has watched it and left feedback and I am glad schools are still making you read the short story.

  • @therealAgerbon its good my class has to make a map then figure out the different parts to the story

  • 49:10 ATTACK DOGS 11 KILLSTREAK

  • can someone answer this question? what is the evidence that rainsford will no longer hunt animals?

  • @ilymaddie961 He understands what they feel when he hunts them, because he was in their place when Zaroff was hunting him. I didn't finish the film yet, so that's my answer. But it should be it.

  • @ilymaddie961 Because he's hunting the animal with higher intelligence--humans. The thrill of the hunt is greater for him because man lives not only by instinct but by rational (or irrational) thinking. It now becomes a game of wits. By luring ships to their doom, he keeps his hunting stock populated.

  • The staring video was like a paris

  • And why does it make me so mad that they used Russians for the badguys.

  • @TheMagicalMuzzyCat *looks at time stamp of movie* The question has been solved :P

  • is the movie base on the story?

  • @angellove8390 yeah

  • I love their high pants and bozo ties :)

  • i just love the funny screams in the beginning

  • 12:10 RAPE FACE!!!!!!!

  • the 3 people who disliked this video accually thought that dislike means dis-i-like

  • Jakedasnake747 Haha we did to!

  • @JakedaSnake747 lol i just got finished with it...

  • @JakedaSnake747 Your teachers are teaching you that the Russian Revolution just happened? (it was mentioned in the book as a recent event)

  • This movie is responsible for Zodiac's killings. . . . . . .I'm kidding. But allegedly,this movie is his favorite movie.

  • @hanstark07 you are correct, a small world indeed

  • " That's queer, the door's unlocked". My favorite line

  • @MrDobans13 I should use this line during entering a mall.

  • Does any one hear a cat at 8:29 or is it just me?

  • Whatta u know, the Zodiac Killers favorite movie....

  • well hello.......is this your house...

  • @agnus05 welcome

  • Whatch all of it------it a must!!!!!!!!!!

People you can't see-wake the hell up all ready!

They are killing, harassing, stalking.druging innecont people!

    WAKE-UP! WAKE-UP! WAKE-UP!

They druged to the point she couldn't understand nothing!

  • @src438 espresso to the mind

  • What is the name of the song in the beginning? I totally recognize it!

  • this was a lot more entertaining than most hollywood films made today. However, it was just okay for a 1930's film. I love these old movies.

  • i cant believe i just watched that whole fucking thing...

  • @229rednecks ditto

  • this is the longest video i have ever seen

  • from 27:10 to 29:04 that shit the corniest overdramatic scene i seen in any movie

  • i can see why the zodiac killer loved this movie

after watching Zodiac,i love how they hidden this movie into it

a massage for him aswell, interesting stuff

  • I had to read the story and watch this movie for my english class in 8th grade

  • Excellent film - very taut and darkly witty.

  • DUN............DUN.........DUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

  • I'm sorry but @6:03 to @7:45 makes me laugh so hard XD AHHH HE GOT ME!

  • Read this in english

  • i read this in english and its fucking awsome

  • That jungle setting obviously was a perfect thing for RKO with this film and King Kong. That's the good thing about the studio. From what I've heard it kept those sets around should other filmakers wish to use them (The Hunchback of Notre Dame's set for example was used in The Body Snatcher). Plus of course Sleznik, Armstrong, and the lovely and talented screamer Fay Wray in a great adaptation of a great story. It's definately better than Bloodlust a very loose version of the story.

  • does anybody know the name of the piano piece General Zaroff plays for Eve and Rainsford in the beginning of the movie? is it by Franz Liszt? Thanks!

  • I love them both, although I'm kinda dissapointed about the fact that the movie has a short connection to the story

  • I read this story many years ago. I think it was a good version. There was an episode of Logans Run, that was very, very similar

  • "you killed him! you, killed my brother?! YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAHHHHHHH *pounds fists*)

  • Saw this today on TCM. The log over the chasm is the same as in "King Kong". Why didn't they use Joel McCrae in "King Kong"? He would've been better than the actor who wound up with Fay Wray.

  • @Spartacus217 What I read is that McCrea wasn't available at that time due to scheduling conflict with another film, but he was a shoo in for the part of Jack Driscoll.

  • the short story is the bomb read it for my engliish class love it i have to write why rainsford calls himself a beast at bay, but i love the story anyways soo..

  • Just read it today in freshman english. The best story in the book!

  • The most Dangerous game is E.T for the Atari 2600.

  • such an evil villan

  • This film is really quite terrible however it is actually quite well made for the time period. Certainly worth watching to see how well it was made in contrast to other films of the time.

  • haha this movie sucks donkey balls have to watch it for english

  • Question to the poster- do you know the name of the main theme song, Its pretty much what Zaroff was playing on the piano towards the end before rainsford snuck in.

  • @mrmapegothe13th not totally sure.

  • The cabin cruiser was not shipwrecked (it wasn't even a cabin cruiser, it was a yahct) Rainsford just falls off. And there was no women at Zaroff's castle! Just him and Ivan.

  • @GenOrder7 As posted before, this film was Hollywoodized expanding the protental of the short story, giving it more character. But other then that i hope you enjoyed the movie.

  • @therealAgerbon THE SHORT STORY AUTHOR WAS A PLAYBOY NOVELIST AND SPORTSMAN WORLD TRAVELER BASICALLY THE RAINSFORD CHARACTER AND HIS FATHER WAS A CONGRESSCRITTER FROM DUTCHESS COUNTY THE SAME DISTRICT REPRESENTED BY THE LONG LINE OF HAMILTON FISHES HIS FATHER WAS A REPORTER AND EDITOR AND LOCAL POLICE COMMISH IN POUGHKEEPSIE BORN 1857 DECEASED 1912 CONNELL JR BORN 1893 DIED 1949 A CATHOLIC DEMOCRAT

  • @wreehill Please, if you wanted to give a biography, do not use caps, it does not give your explanation any structure lol. Other then that, valid points.

  • Best death scene ever period. 7:39

  • @S1LlEnTKi1l3r lmbo! oooh he got me!

  • @S1LlEnTKi1l3r lol epic shark death

  • Very good book.

  • we read the book in 8th grade it was good

  • 20:40

Did he say "That looks cute"? XD

  • @FunkesDragonRider Yep, LOL

  • i still dont understand the title, does it mean the most dangerous game as in animals, or the most dangerous game as in a game you play.

  • @megaexplosions Animals.

  • @megaexplosions both

  • @megaexplosions humans are the most dangerous game, it is referring to the one that gives you more of a fight while hunting

  • @megaexplosions Both meanings are possible, some Hollywood titles play on the multiple possibilities of meaning.

  • Lol is hits movie in the 1950s?

  • We are watching this movie in class. it is cool!

  • the story is amazing... full of great litterary devices and vocabulary... amazingly written wth great examples of foreshadowing and irony... u should read it ;)

  • This movie used the set left over from King Kong

  • @jimbo271uk Ha I think it was not so much left over, as it was being used at the same time! Even the actors and directors! Talk about making the most of your money!

  • the book is kinda better but ther diffrent in diffrent ways but its good

  • Never considered this much like the short story version of it.

  • i read this a little while ago it was good :)

  • i cant believe the action!!!!!!!...lol

  • i hate it when they change the story

  • What's the lady's name? It's hard to understand. Is it something like "Eve Trobridge" or something?

  • Martin Shorebridge: worst drunk-acting EVER!

  • this could be remade. and should be more true to this story

  • Do you know what song the Count is playing when Rainsford comes in? I'd like o preform it.

  • AND! Have you noticed, you can play a game while it's loading with the arrow keys? It's pretty darn cool.

  • I miss the look, the scene... I miss the acting too.

  • @K1tCat123 Oh my! I said the exact same thing about it!

  • @BeveragesAfterNine LOL I know! my English teacher was like "Who thinks this is the best movie they've ever seen!" Everyone raised their hand LOL!

  • haha i read this in class its like nothing at all like the real thing...not even close

  • We read the 1924 short story in our Language Arts Class, and today we got to see this version of the film. Very interesting adaption...I love the story and film equally. I just wish my classmates had a similar opinion concerning the story...most of the kids fell asleep by the time the Audio CD companion to the story was done narrating it. I'm surprised they didn't attempt to hollywoodize it back in the 20s, where it could have been a silent film or something. :)

  • @TheActionGameMaster That's so sad. My class mates thought similar thoughts of it.

  • @BeveragesAfterNine I'm considered the "smart" kid in that class, though, and I obviously show it. I felt it was a great film, if you could get beyond the corny nature and acting. I hope they make a modernized version of the story, and it would be extra cool if they made a modern film of it. Then it could reach more children who don't have respect for classic wonders like this.

  • @TheActionGameMaster i get what ur sayin but honestly did you need to include the first sentence kiid no one liks a show off

  • @KE3P1TS1MP13 Sorry....it's all I've got to my name. Other than that, I'm pretty pathetic. T.T

  • @UnicornArchie thats why this movie was made, for those of short of mind, no offense haha

  • @UnicornArchie It's only eight pages long you silly.

  • @UnicornArchie It's a really good book, the movies alil' boring. :p

  • @UnicornArchie yes it is... but the girl isn't in the book

  • @UnicornArchie humm the book is a bit more interesting, movie always better cuz they exaggerated a bit and it has more details

  • @UnicornArchie You're a dumbass. It says within 3 seconds of this video starting "Nothing like the book". The book isn't even a book. It's a short story. So stop being a lazy bitch and just read the damn thing. It's actually really good. I bet it'd take you less time to read the short story than it would take you to watch this [and it's not even like the short story].

  • @tomdelongefan06 Lol, the way you've stated this was uncalled for.

  • @ItsNowWarfare I was having a bad day, that, and I hate ignorant, lazy pricks :] haha

  • @tomdelongefan06 Haha, nor justified YET =P My morals go against though haha! Playing with you man!

  • @ItsNowWarfare I'm quite sarcastic. A lot of people think I'm judgmental, but really, I'm just observant. A lot of people think I'm mean or rude, but I'm just open and honest haha I have a blog you might find entertaining. I might make my next post about UnicornArchie being illiterate haha

  • lmao we read this in school. i guess a lot of ppl did. haha everyone probably has the same big book thing called literature 3rd course. i cant even watch this, i just looked it up to see if it exsist lol

  • There is no girl in the book!!!!I read that in my l.a. Class and there was no girl in it at all and plus the book said that they were rich and that just rainsford fell off the boat and acullay he fell off o yot!!!!

  • @llamamama96 it was hollywoodized derp

  • @llamamama96 i know, it was only General Zaroff, Ivan, and Rainsford on the island, oh and his "guests" in the "training room" :|

  • Shame the original Academy ratio has been squashed for widescreen viewing. For those that dont know, this film was shot at the same time and with the same sets and actors as King Kong. Lookout for the set used when Kong shakes the tree trunk.

  • in my book there was not ship wreck he fell of the boat..

  • Ivan isnt tall. lmao. :/

  • wow just finished the movie

  • I just wish they hadn't made GENERAL Zaroff a Count.

General sounds a lot more interesting than Count.

And why did they change Rainsford's name to Bob? I thought his name was Sanger.

This one's just nitpicking but I kinda pictured Rainsford to be in his late 30's or something.

  • @LautRAHR haha what are the odds

  • I saw this movie today in my english class.

  • @2proskaters

    XD me too

  • 7:41 "Oh! He got me!"

    XD

    My favorite part

  • cant this be taken off for copyright?

  • @Waldmjef22 nope, no copyright is breached due to this being a Public Domain movie. As long as I am not making a Dime from it, I can showcase it as I see fit as Educational Exercise :) but thanks for Posting :)

  • @therealAgerbon so if you make a penny its ok

  • @Pontare100 Not even a penny, I see what you tried there :D

  • the beginnin reminds me of an old scooby doo episode. rooby rooby roo!!!

  • i read the book in school and i think this picture is not to good of a remake when did the girl come in in the book? there was no water fall.. and the shark please.

  • @deshygirl24 because since the beginning of time, all directors presented a story or a rough draft of anything of a book, does this to spice up the presentation so that way it make the story less-boring to movie goers.

  • @deshygirl24 There was no girl in the book. I believe my English teacher said that the directers and stuff added her :)

  • I just read this book today in my english class and i just kept thinking to myself... this book would make a beastly movie... i was right :D

  • @TheRisked i read this story this week in my english class 2

  • @demdem3364 I think we all must have the same english book...

  • love this... even though the story is a lttle deff from the short story but this is better

  • @FireFistSamuel little different they added characters which made the plot waaay different

  • 1:01:07 BOOM HEADSHOT!

I screamed that in class. :D

The best part wasn't that everyone was laughing their heads off, it was the fact that the teacher didn't say anything and I didn't get a detention. :p

  • It would have been better if they had followed the story. I like the boat exploding, though. :D

  • This is a good book.

  • the short story is way better we read it in english 9

  • @Mynameiskornsblind same here lol.

  • @Mynameiskornsblind i know i read ths story a month ago i love it

  • lol 20:29

  • i was reading this in class lol

  • @sk8tepunk741 me too

  • @sk8tepunk741 so was i

  • @sk8tepunk741 yee me too freshman pride lol

  • @sk8tepunk741 lol me too woo freshman

  • this is the best movie ever!

  • 33:26. "..So thats your most dangerous game!"

    Late realization? Lol

  • nothing is better than the original, but someone should really make another movie on the most dangerous game with todays technology. Great story.

  • @m1grand70 totally agree. but it would be great if they didnt fuck the story up

  • We're reading this in class:)

  • Read it twice, saw te mvie, and saw the play.Love it but the fight at the end looks like a extreme slap fight.

  • I have to do a report on this story for school, and I read the sotry today... it's nothing like this... but I still like this movie! :)

  • @YukonStrikers17 dude the story is awesome. i made a 97 on the test the second week in school.

  • @13raysteve I know right? I have to make a map and a 3d model of a trap that Rainsford did... I'm totallu failing!!! lol

  • I have to do a report on this short story, and I read it today in class, and it is nothing like this movie. I like this movie, I really do, but I think the sotry is much better. they changed everything, basically. but this is a cool movie though!!!
