Yes, Amiga trackers can sample 8 seconds, or even twice that or more. However, most people that are intelligent enough to use an Amiga, are smart enough to know you have to give credit where it is due.

People sample, its a fact of life. Just look at all the uncleared bootlegs and white labels that are getting realised by the numbers.
What is stupid is blatantly ripping a sample for a COMMERCIAL FUCKEN POP SONG that the entire world is going to hear. Timbland either has no common sense otherwise he is one of the most stupidest people on earth. In this case I think his arrogance that undid him.
It's even more blatant then Vanilla Ice/Queen saga.

Yes, Amiga trackers can sample 8 seconds, or even twice that or more. However, most people that are intelligent enough to use an Amiga, are smart enough to know you have to give credit where it is due.
And it's even worse that Timbaland is throwing a fit over it. I mean really, so the original composer wants some recognition...so give it to him, my god. Timbaland would look less like an idiot right now if he had just admitted he screwed up.

I didn't say "talentless monkey" - I said "boastful monkey" - which is an entire different thing: Timbaland obviously has some talent - what I personally dislike is the attitude - either in the lyrical content of his songs (blatant example "Give it to me") or in his interviews (ex: radio interview answer to "controversy").
"monkey" was used in the sense of boasting, not as a racial insult.

Everyone says that, but I don't get it. I say he stole THIS verison, it sounds more to me like the tune Nelly released than the SID version. The amiga MOD has SID style instruments that are closer to what's used in the song. Either way, he ripped off that melody for sure.

No, it was, indeed, the .SID version that was stolen.
Glenn Gallefoss, who created the .SID version with Suni's permission, has stated that:
"... Its my sid version that has been sampled in do-it : You can hear that by the 11 waveform bleeps I have put in at random plaves (only 3 voices on a sid you know), the arpeggios are using filters, I can even hear the lead using my multipulse routine (which i rarely use, but i did it on acidjazz.sid ).

Mickjt84, the beginning of GRG's version of AcidJazzed Evening was used in Timbo's song for the ENTIRE song. Also, Janne Suni, the original author, does NOT allow his song to be used COMMERCIALLY (He gave permission to GRG to do a cover of the song, but GRG did not release it commercially). So, Timie really screwed up.

timberland is too rich to use 8 bit technology in 2007, this is a case of a poor loser bum named Janne Suni that is 40 and lives with his mom and has nothing more to do than listen to video game sound bytes and put them together, now that timberland used it with his technology this loser wants to sue for something that is free range.
