WOWOW the very begin and end of this video or cool, chanting "away" in spanish, had to listen 3 times to figure out what they were saying, Argintina in 87, this Club at Height of popularity??? no comprende' senor, gueralla wars, cartels, in come the Bolshoi, unless mucho kiloto's fit in el drummo's, and speakeros'
@xmanbandit69 Guerrilla wars? Cartels...in Argentina? Ignorant, take a book and learn something. And at the begining the guy says: "gracias por escuchar nuestra música".
The Bolshoi, GLJ, The Cult, The Flaming Mussolinis, Siouxie and the Banshees, Spear of Destiny, Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, The Waterboys, Black, Hothouse Flowers, The Sisters of Mercy, The Housemartins, Icicle Works, Killing Joke, Joy Division... I laugh at people who say the 80s sucked musically. Of course if you weren't there, you'd think they did, since all they play on the radio is Men at Work and The Bangles.
One of the most underrated 80's groups (the same as The Flaming Mussolinis). Far better than U2.
I agree I too grew up in Houston and yes that era were some of the best days of my life...where did they go...you just have to keep creating them for yourself by digging back in time. Houston has changed so much over the years but I stil love it...it is my home town.
I still live i houston and I am 36 now and also used to dance my butt off to this . At one point I had the blue vinyl of this that was generously donated by Micheal DeGrace of Numbers nightclub.
Blue vinyl? There's something I never knew existed. I have the 12" mix in mp3 form and spin it during the Classic Club Hour portion of my show. I also have the actual vinyl for "Please", also a favorite.
I'd heard that, too. I'm digitizing some vintage Houston club tapes for a friend, one of which is mixed (and signed) by Mr. DeGrace. I'm sure I could get you a copy if you're so inclined. I haven't listened to it yet, so I have no idea what's on it.
Yes that would the absolute dream come true, tell what you have when you have compiled the song list. I am looking as you might guess stuff from Numbers, 6400, DV8, and whatever else you can find from the Houston scene. Let me know how much a cd made would run . Thanks D.
Everything is perfect with this song. The vocals match the mood and the lyrics... Well the lyrics are immaculate. I have the 12 inch vynil-to-digital extended version that is very clean. It is 2-3 minuteslonger than this version. I will post the audio if enough peeps are interested.
