  • how the fuck do you write tabs for something like this...

  • it is not ok to be that awesome!!!!

  • I bet you can't make a guitar pro version of that.....

  • why there are 2 version of this songs ???

  • @MisterSareZ not sure what you mean.

  • hmm... trace bundy. are you related to al bundy by any chance? (main character on "married with children" sitcom) lol

  • Wow...that sounded terrible.

  • 1:56 is epic

  • He sounds exactly like me...only he plays notes

  • I remember when i got my first capo! xDD lol

  • comparad eso con el shunga boy si teneis cojones xDDDD ;)

  • Fuck using the tuning pegs, just use five capos!

  • 1:55 jizz in mah pantz

  • good

  • 36 people are philistines

  • Awesome !! A true artist !

  • .........36 people dont like stew

  • Are you a wizard?

  • 2:26 LIKE A BOSS!

  • Gimmicky overkill. He could play this song easily with just one capo.

  • @caseyspaos yes he could.

  • @caseyspaos yeah yeah

  • what type of mic is that...? it gets the sound so clear... can somebody tell me the brand of mic...?

  • 1:55 omg xD bit hard to hammer on so fast

  • How many guitarists does it take to change a lightbulb? ------- 2. One to change it and another to say..."Psshhh, I chould do that" :P

  • its amazing.............

  • It's a taylor in this tune. I believe he's using McPherson's now.

  • I felt it move

  • who else thinks that he should join candyrat records?

  • @heiva Is that not a breedlove guitar??

  • @Trevorkent well, I know he has a Taylor and a Breedlove, I think that one is the Taylor. Maybe I'll ask him through mail :p

  • @heiva That is most defiantly a Taylor :p

  • @heiva it's a taylor it's writen on the neck :P

  • @heiva that is a taylor

  • @Trevorkent That's a Taylor 714, he used it before getting endorsed by Breedlove AND McPherson.

  • @Trevorkent I wouldn't think it's a Breedlove since Breedlove guitars have a pretty unique headstock and the only Breedloves I know that have a headstock kinda like that are the Retro series, but looking at the top and the bindings, it looks like a Taylor 814ce (could be wrong but it does resemble a Taylor more)

  • @Trevorkent Late response but this is his Taylor 714 maintained by Michael Bashkin. He used it before he got his custom Breedlove instruments and another made by McPherson.

  • this one is my favorite

i swear the guitar was made for his fingers

  • the first 5 seconds is the best :P

  • why is he throwing the capos? :)) hehehe just wondering ^_^

  • @13mdark It's part of the song. He wouldn't be able to achieve the notes he wanted to otherwise ^^

  • best version on youtube

  • You would think he had a deeper voice than that.....

  • how does having five capos not get his guitar completely out of tune?

  • @wontonjohn321

It's a specially made guitar for him by Taylor. Guess it's one of the best ;)

  • @heiva he modded the capos so that they only cover a certain number of strings as you know... but i don't think the guitar as anything to do with it ;)

  • @wontonjohn321 either he tuned his guitar to suit the capos, or he put the capos to make a chord?

  • @alritza Neither! He just put the capos on to make other guitarists who don't use capos look like ass holes

  • @wontonjohn321 ading capos is no differnet then putting your fingers on the frets to play a note. Now ripping the capos off is another story.

  • @Bajungadustin well whenever i put capos on my guitar it always makes them go out of tune. the rule of thumb when putting on capos is you always have to retune after putting one on, cause it puts alot more pressure on the strings than your fingers alone.

  • @wontonjohn321 suppose it depends on the guitar. my acoustic costs about 1000 dollars and i have never had to retune after putting on a capo... and ive been playing for 17 years.. and i use up to 3 capos at a time and still have never had a problem with tuning.. even when i check it afterward on a tuner and its still fine.

  • @wontonjohn321 hes in DADGAD. but to be honest idk yet :P

  • Comment removed

  • @EugenePoluyachtov no hes not. i play the song on my guitar and it looks exactly like the video, and everything correct. the lead guitarist of the band Severed Sun even said so because i know him. so stfu noob and play simething more suitable for u like a dildo.

  • Comment removed

  • @EugenePoluyachtov o____O'

  • @wontonjohn321 it's trace bundy...that's why lol

  • @DuckDuckSilvio lol well said

  • @wontonjohn321 mebe he tunes it with the capos on?

but agreed that would be stange for the guitar

  • @wontonjohn321 why would it get out of tune from having five capos on it?

  • @SEKing725 because stretching out the string results in a higher pitch. if you have a guitar, try fretting a note and press down really hard. you'll notice that the note will have a slightly higher pitch than if you were to press down normally. it's the same principle with a capo. if you were to use five capos, i wouldn't be surprised if the guitar went out of tune by a whole quarter step.

  • @wontonjohn321 each of the capos has cutout for the strings that need to resonate. and it's how you take them off the fretboard. also I think that guitar was custom designed/made for him.

  • @wontonjohn321 If you listen very closely, you can hear it's not perfectly in tune.

  • @wontonjohn321 In fact, it IS completely out of tune.

  • @wontonjohn321 Because it's like having fingers on those frets. Unless there is a strong pressure pulling the strings away from the tuning knobs, the strings shouldn't go out of tune. Capo's are, again, like fingers. When you play the guitar, it doesn't go out of tune with bends unless you really crank on the strings. I hope that answers your question. Guitars are tough but they don't have to be specially made for capo's (not disrespecting heiva in any way).

  • id have five capos too if i didnt keep losing them

  • Has anyone who asked why he has 5 capos actually listen to the song and not just understand that this is beautiful and it has 5 capos, awesome!

  • PURE CLASS

  • @graftonproject Any chance you are from Derry? lol

  • I liked the part where he played guitar :)

  • Dudes the mad scientist of Guitars

  • mad man...\m/

  • nice composition

i like it i just started trying stuff like this on guitar any advice anyone

  • @johnsonjesseguitar Just keep trying really... Come up with your own stuff. My buddy Luigi and I started doing this after he showed me Trace Bundy's dvd....awsome stuff

  • he should get some spider capos

  • I feel an irrisistible urge to bow before him.

  • maybe im just rly stoned, but i just clapped irl..

  • 34 People broke their capos trying to modify them.

  • @TIIJIVIL there's a time and a place for trolling. This is neither.

  • Looks like a lot of fun to play. The writing process must be even more of an adventure. :D

  • many cappo O.O

  • the shirt tells it all

  • His guitar is like a hot girlfriend of 4 years and 7.23 months. He likes to tweak it as much as he can...before he has to get a new one...or she wants a new one. New guitar equals a new relationnship. The Capo is like a new hairdo or different makeup on his already hot girlfriend. Easy to do...and easy to get rid of, without loseing the girl. Hence...the Capo. A guitar makeover

  • what a sick ending =D

  • The dude is aaaamazing <3 I effing luv him.

  • cool

  • 5 capo's are illegal in some state's I heard ..

  • 5 capo's its all for the ending... with a style.. damn good.. thumbs up

  • Does anybody know the brand of the guitar he is playing?

  • @FehrGormenghastTodd Taylor he now has a custom breedlove that he plays

  • @duggananddhsmith Thank you so much!

  • There is no need to comment this , just follow this symphony

  • there another place for another capo

  • 3 Capo's FTW :D

  • wow.. i expected his voice to be a littlee bit deeper

  • Fool, now you gotta go pick up the capos :D Amazing song though, I like his style xD

  • dude seriously u should move to NC each me.i been playin for a year but my guitar teacher sucks

  • Acoustic to sheer and utter perfection..

  • i love the part when he take of the second last capo and the sound of taking it off just fits perfectly in the song ... realy great :)

  • I've met this guy and even seen him play live years ago. All his capos are different and are definately used. If I remember correctly, one of his capos have a whole drilled in it so that it skips over a string. They're custom made except for the lowest one. This guy is truely a genius...

  • @ tishcoco If you look at the blue one and the gray one, they only cover like 2 strings. gotta give him major props for thinking that far outside the box.

  • Almost sounds like a mandolin at some parts.

  • he has that many capos Cause Hes Got His Own unique Style

  • i would not throw you outta the bed for eaing crackers, that's for sure!

  • The ending was a surprise! Awesome!

  • Why doesn't he try to tune the guitar accordingly to what it needs apart using all these capos? nice song btw.

  • @Gabrielm79 I would say because of the ending ;)

  • @heiva its that, and you cant tune that high. youd break the strings before you got anywhere close

  • @heiva coz it looks fuckin awesome this way ?!

  • @heiva Lol lol lol.. I want to like that comment more =]

  • @heiva jep... because of 2:20 would have been my answer.. :)

  • @ardukar

    :p

  • @Gabrielm79 That wouldn't be nearly as entertaining...

  • @Gabrielm79 you obviously dont play guitar... As you can see he plays around the capo's, tuning them to that tone wouldn't allow him to go lower on that string than his tuning.. Also these capo's are snare capo's in stead of capo's that cover the whole neck at once

  • @darktuning19 You can tune the guitar to play it.Except the finale as mentioned before by another user.In my first comment , i didn't see that he was removing the capos.(Didn't watch to the end)

  • @Gabrielm79 didn't watch to the end? ...evil!!!

  • @Gabrielm79 .. there's no question to be asked .. just enjoy! :)

  • @Gabrielm79 .. there's no question to be asked .. just enjoy! :)

  • @Gabrielm79 probably because it looks cooler this way lol

  • @Gabrielm79 pretty sure you can't tune it in that big of a range

  • @Gabrielm79 Well.. I'm thinking only because he would need to tune some strings very high. It might cause the string to either break, or for the guitar neck to have too much stress.

  • @Gabrielm79

Tuning takes a little time to do, he runs just 1 guitar. Plus, he gets a little more variability with capos, as sometimes he'll lift the entire capo to get down a note depending on the song. Plus, he's sponsored by a capo company ;)

  • @foxfiremigra

    That's a very good answer.Thanks. :-)

  • @foxfiremigra Most of his songs are either in DADGAD or standard... if you're like McKee or Hedges you tend to have the craziest tunings (C1C2DGAD, CGDGBA, C#G#DG#A#E, ECDGAD, DADGC4C4, etcetc. lotsa 'GAD's though lol) almost like learning chemistry for guitar. Only harder :P

  • nvm, in the end its all about the music!

  • @Gabrielm79 strings would snap attempting to tune that high.

  • @Gabrielm79 IT's more fun XD

  • @Gabrielm79 Perhaps it is because it is not possible...

  • @Gabrielm79 And because of the ending...

  • @Gabrielm79 because that cant be done. He doesnt need the entire string to be tuned that way..it would mess up the sound

  • @Gabrielm79 He has more variety this way. He has at least one string tuned up 7 steps, another 5...try doing that with straight tuning and you'll break your strings. Plus (as he often does) he can move or remove capos mid song, something you definitely can't do with tuning.

  • @cosmiccow77 well said, and if he tuned down an octave or so, the strings would be so loose he wouldn't nearly as fast and would sound like complete balls

  • even though i prob couldnt play this but. tab?

  • All the people saying that there are show capos on there either don't play guitar or just don't know how to mod a capo. A "show capo" wouldn't be able to stay on the neck without muting the strings. The only capo that appears to be normal is the lowest one. The rest are either cut capos, or flipped over, or have some of the rubber removed so that it only mutes certain strings. It's very evident that they are all doing something because he takes them off one at a time and the tuning changes!!

  • hot damn he's amazing! and he uses all of his capos too, some get very minimal use but he uses them all for part of his song

  • Awesome but I have to agree with tishcoco. Only 2 capos are in play which would lead you to believe the rest are for show. Take nothing away from the guy though he's amazingly talented

  • Awesome but I have to agree the capo

  • brilliant...pure genius. incredible. i just dont know wat else to say, except for the guy if freakin awesome.

  • can anyone tell me why he has 5 capos? cause if he played behind capo wouldnt it just cut of any sound?

  • @tishcoco

That's because it's not cuting off all the strings just one at a time that's why it sounds the way it does

  • @tishcoco actually, there's only one complete capo, the rest of them are customized (cut in half, flipped over...)

  • @heiva

he actually saws a few of the capos to only hold down certain strings.

  • @tishcoco The capo that's second from the top doesn't cover the low E string so he can play behind it.

  • @tishcoco Because he's better than you !

  • @tishcoco... He also will cut a notch to let some strings pass through. Its really cool.

  • @tishcoco he have extra capos who only go other the half guitar or only over 1-2 strings =)

  • @tishcoco his capos have spaces for strings n hold only specific strings.. only last capo holds all strings

  • @tishcoco He did it for the sound that he gets from playing between them. It's explained on his DVD. i saw it and wanted to just put my guitar down because this guy just amazed the hell out of me.

  • is his guitar in standard or drop D?

  • @Daver869 Proberly in DADGAD, which is Drop D and then drop the b and e strings down one whole tone to a and d!

  • @DERGIE95 that's called open D

  • pure beaut

  • well fuck me this is incredible...

  • 2:26 - 2:28 sounds SOO familiar....

  • thought 5 capos was a little excessive at first , but this is pretty tight

  • awesome...

  • awesome..

  • some people play in different keys without using 10 capos.

  • @justinosmond It's not just for the purpose of playing in keys. He's using the capos as part of his art form. You can play in any key without using capos, but you can you play that without using capos?

  • 1:55-1:57

  • AWESOME.....!!!!!!!! he is a brilliant guitarist i have ever seen :P
