1:38 KLM - Yeah, we also heard that.

1:40 ATC - Did you see it? Because we did.

1:42 KLM - We didn't see anything.

1:44 ATC - There was nothing on radar, but there was a light in the air with a beam of light.

1:49 KLM - Haha, some kind of a chinese -how do they call it again- candle.

1:54 ATC - Yeah! Well... It was too bright for it. I don't know.

After that the ATC gives intruction in English.

The Dutch tower operator actually talks to a collegue. He's saying that strange things are happening. The collegue suggests that it might have been some sort of a balloon. The operator dismissed it as the light column was too big to be coming from a balloon.

It's not the first time that some really interesting things are happening in the sky over here. (I live close to Amsterdam) Funny how it never seems to come across as evil, like in the movies hollywood seems to feed us.....

@Amypr1ncess it absolutely WAS a real transmission between a KLM aircraft and the control tower at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam.

I know both the pilots who spoke and they claim they absolutely saw what they saw. The ATC controller also saw it. It was reported but nothing could be found or explained!

ik luister vaak naar dit soort gespreken op de radio scanner en weet dat er een aantal jaren geleden een incident was , rond een van de snelwegen bij EHAM = schiphol politie is er bij geweest waar ook niks op de radar was te zien

mensen op de snelwegen hebben het ook gezien lichte in de lucht

dit werd gemeld aan dutchmil radar controle centrum van defensie in amersfoort nooit meer wat van vernomen

@Nomberbomber Never found the exact airport, but this was KLM not Air Canada, so probably somewhere over the Netherlands. Schipol maybe. Sorry about the inconvinience.

A UFO is something in the sky that hasn't been identified. The clue is in the name. That something is unidentified doesn't mean it's alien.

huuuuummmm putting any UFO's on the side I would say it might be a NORDO aircraft... but the problem is, the ATC normally know the presence of an aircraft of that kind, by the way it's very strange
