In the fall of '92, Powers started coming out to "Crank It Up" again. I don't know why they ever stopped, to be honest. Although curiously, these two had another match and Powers had no music. Competitive match, but the canned heat was obvious.
I've been telling people for some time that they should've paired Taylor up with Flair, Henning and Heenan at this point. They pretended like the Red Rooster never happened so it would've been a no-brainer.
Get real. Taylor never had a career to ruin. He had zero personality or presence. Never drew shit. Was never going anywhere. Red Rooster was actually the most successful thing he ever did and that's really saying something.
@vinbroccoli you obviously dont have much knowledge of his run in the Mid South/UWF, he had a great career and was clearly on his was up before making the HUGE mistake of going to the WWF
@scottsworld71 Sure, in a small pond. Put Taylor next to the mega WWF stars of the 80's and he's a complete joke. Bobby Heenan said all the same things. If there was any real money to be made there, Vince isn't an idiot. They didn't even have an action figure of him.
@Chefkoch523 This was still at a point where not everyone had entrance music. And Taylor did debut music a bit after this. It was the Red Rooster theme without the rooster at the beginning.
Now I know where Robert Roode got his robe from

Great match! Do you have the match of Terry vs Joey maggs? It was also prime time 1992.

@328NY
Sadly I don't have Taylor vs. Maggs, but I do have Taylor vs. the Macho Man. I'll post it soon.
