That is hell of a wrong tuning. You guys always play it on D, which is suppose to be on Standard. Use Songsterr if you still need some proof.

hey to the guy who wants Metallica tone? They got alot of sounds over the yrs bro. Old shit... have all your knobs set so it looks like a smile, know what i men? Same as any equalizer. Back in the day Metallica played with very little or no mid range (gets the Hetfield 'scoop' sound'). No mids, fuck with your hi's n low's a bit and dont try to perfect their sound, keep it simple. I can get a great Kill Em All tone through almost any decent amp with a fuckin grunge pedal, not bad.

mesa boogie would be a good amp metallica usses them so other metal bands or marshall.. if ur going cheap go for a line 6 spider 3 amp even tho theyre solid states they sound amazing i use 1 or u could get some pedal like metal muff or digitech hardwire pedal
