If I remember correctly the Sabers won that game in OT because Flyer goalie Bernie Parent couldn't see the puck in the fog when it was shot at him!

The Sabres did indeed win that game on Rene Robert's OT winner.
It got so foggy because the Aud didn't have any air conditiong system of any kind. This was true for the old Boston Garden as well.
