There may be a ban on "Duck Opening" in NSW perse but you can sure as hell "SHOOT" ducks in NSW over rice. Noted by the NSW Game council "the Game Bird Management Program ALLOWS private landholders to legally protect their crops from the damage caused by wild ducks, using conservation hunters licensed by Game Council.” Quite ironical and hypocritical. Hunters are the best aid in conservation of not only ducks but many game species. They not only keep populations in check so that animals do not over populate, but they also give millions if not billions of dollars to conservation efforts each year. I can't believe people were protesting. Some people just don't understand how thing like this work. I'm an avid duck hunter and, and I stand by my right to hunt. Hunters care more about wildlife than anyone else.

@wildmannorton Right on! We hunted the Texas Gulf Coast for a couple of decades.

The hunters is this area provided far more cash for conservation progams than any group of protestors..............side note: I have never seen anyone protest a Duck Hunt in Texas.

Could be because we have a ranchers mentality about game, companion animals and livestock.

We don't see them as they are shown in Disney Cartoons.

Last time I was at a hunt two protesters attempted to stop a hunter from getting one of his ducks. (They ran off with it). Suddenly all the protesters were down and trying to get involved. One protester received a broken nose for his trouble. Meanwhile s group of hunters grabbed all the 'rescued' stolen ducks from their car. The irony is that the protesters then called the police and blamed the hunters for theft. lol. The police just laughed at them. What a pack of losers the protesters are.

Thats why hunter and programs like ducks unlimited and many others spend thousands of dollars to keep wet lands and breading grounds safe from development and many other things i want to know how much work protestors put in or how much of there money goes to saving waterfowl not including the license that have to buy so that can march around out in the water.

Glad the antis are buying game licence's like Manfred in the clip, hope they all buy them as it creates revenue and increase's the amount of hunters issued with licence's on the DSE books. Keeps the hunting going as its statistically growing in government eyes.
