It doesn't look like the reporter got owned at all. If anybody got owned it was the fat guy in the Hawaiian shirt that tried to lie and say that he was a judge to try and look like he has some credability but I can clearly see that he was lying.
I called his dumbass show on 01/13/12 which was last night from SC. I told him I supported Ron Paul and asked about Santorum and his support for Sandusky. My conversation was edited out from his online version. His 1st hour is only 53:53 long. I called at 6:51EST and was on the phone 6 min total. He cut me off when I made a reference to the soldier that was a Paul supporter that CNN cut short. He told me he was taking a long break. What a dickhead. Sorry Hugh, the world is waking up you fuck
I fucking hate Hugh! He just thought he was coming up to some stupid American and he ended up getting put in his place. We are well informed Hugh ol' boy, and you are a shithead puppet.
I don't know if any of you listen to Hugh Hewitt (don't start !), but Hewitt has been kissing the asses of both Romney and Jon Huntsman since the beginning of 2011. Hewitt refers to Huntsman as a "serious candidate", yet this "serious candidate" - as of this moment - isn't even registering at 1% in the final Iowa caucus. Yet, Hewitt won't even interview Ron Paul for his radio show and considers both Paul and his supporters as a bunch of quacks !
Huell Huiliett..Hewitt, whatever it is.. Is such a two-faced lying shill for the rich! His radio show is super boring and his annoying voice is like nails on the chalkboard. Hugh, why don't you take some calls from people who disagree with your right wing hack opinions and stop taking calls and inviting guests to come and kiss your ass and agree with everything you say.. that is such boring radio ! also, cut back on the commercials you greedy SOB, your station and show is weak you loser!
Hugh Hewitt is smarter than the judge he was interviewing and did now want to challenge him. He was just showing how idiotic Ron Paul supporters are. Besides, he is a FORMER judge and a justice of the peace judge at that. Hugh Hewitt is one of the top lawyers in the country and if you ever listened to his radio show you would know, without a shadow of a doubt, that he could wipe the floor with this judge.
Hewitt's got a scripted argument. When he saw the judge's knowledge and thorough understanding of the issues, he ran off faster then he ran up at the beginning of the interview.
Hugh Hewitt was not smarter than the judge. The judge crushed him. Hewitt, with his leading questions, was shown his own hand.
You have no idea who or what I talk about. Most of it if not all, would be over your head at inception - so yes, from your perspective there are a lot of ideas out there where you don't know what people are talking about.
The judge was right. Hewitt was wrong. End of story.

Two minutes and thirty five seconds later, Hewitt is thinking "FUCK!"
Not really sure how anyone is being "owned" here, it's a series of polite questions and intelligent answers. Maybe if you are reading too much into the purpose of the interview, you could think something different, but I prefer to take this at face value.
Hugh Hewitt used to co-host a new program on PBS in the mid 90's and regularly had his ass regulated by the extremely intelligent and gracious Chicano reporter, artist, and author known as Ruben Martinez. The show's title, Life and Times.
I was never a Ron Paul supporter; however, I cannot stand Hewitt. He is an open border RINO who is party first and principles second. The true Conservative base is absolutely FED UP with his ilk in the GOP.
Black Helicopter? They are real. I've seen one. Don't believe it? Go to the DEA website, there's a picture one there. They use them to search for pot plants. They are umarked.
Notice he said gradual loss of freedom. People don't understand that part. Things don't happen over night. Its little by little. Thats what these types fail to understand.
Obama is not communist/marxist. He is not even a liberal. I didn't vote for him, but people need to stop spreading misinformation as it gives Ron Paul a bad name. Dr. Paul has the right ideas to help this nation, but also goes about expressing his viewpoint in a civil manner, and he encourages his supporters to do so. Ron Paul didn't need to handle ED Schulz because they were AGREEING on auditing the Federal Reserve, which is something all so called conservatives should get behind.
Hugh, got OWNED, big time ! Look how he kisses butt the moment he finds out this is a judge, "oohhh your a judge ".. what does he think he may face him one day in court so better kiss butt ahead of time, give me a brake ! what a total shill Hugh is for the rich and corporate types !
I hate his crappy show with the same lame interviews week after week..
why don't you interview more professors hugh, like that one that owned you and starting laughing when you became rude and couldn't deate !
Hugh Hewitt got owned? Right, just a decent interview with a Ron Paul supporter. I totally lost respect when Ron Paul did not have a clue of who Johnny Sutton was or even the most basic evidence surrounding the Ramos and Compean case. That was a Big deal here in Houston where Ron Paul is a congressman and it was a case that would have fit perfectly into his idea of an over reaching federal government with direct ties and influence of the Mexican government over the US boarder policy.
A Ron Paul Supporter could not own themselves. "Do you know anyone that this is happening to? Answer: No." How is that owning Hugh? I believe Hugh just Owned the guy.
That is such a silly agruement to try making. So because he doesn't "know" anyone that thats happen to, everything is okay? Lol wow. Lets all shut up and let the government continue to grow until and give them our full trust?
He couldn't even handle Ed Schultz, a mere MSNBC talk show host, how could he handle the job of POTUS? Fuck! Schultz had Paul so befuddled I thought the poor old Depends wearer was gonna cry! HA-HAA!
Well, I like some of what Paul says---I'll give that too him. And he sure beats the business-as-usual bunch up there in DC. AND---at least he has real ideas instead of religious platitudes.
@kurd55 Let's see Ron Paul is a doctor and he's been electred and Reelected to the same office
off and on (he actually has a successful private business outside of politics) for the last 35 years, he's a highly successful writer with several NY Times best sellers. Ron Paul is such a loser that his presidential campaign raised $6 million dollars ONLINE in one 24 hr period in 2008. Last year Ron Pauls son Rand Paul was elected US senator from the state of Kentucky Loser ?
@MrRiceowlex Yeah, I have to agree with you--hillbillies luv Ron and Rand. However, when it comes to presidential elections--which includes people outside the redneck racist demographic, Ron Paul is a loser. He can't even come in second place. I personally would vote for him over any modern day Republican, but that doesn't matter.
I read in another post dated 10 months ago that you had gout - did you ever get over it? If not, I have a suggestion for you. Go to a health food store and ask for Kombucha. It is a drink that is made from mushrooms, but doesn't taste like mushrooms, and it works great and FAST for gout. Get either the original or the lemon flavor one - those have the most actual kombucha in them. A couple of bottles over a couple of days should heal you right up. Good luck!
This poor Judge must be distraught now that we have the ultimate Marxist in the white house. Hugh should wake up, Ron Paul preaches the pure constitution.
darn right. i remember the wave of optimism and hope when the Ron Paul stuff was going full blast on the internet. and now we've ended up with a communist in the white house.
I can't wait til they take Hugh off the air, his show is boring, and he can't debate at all, he not skilled at radio, let's face it he's too ugly for tv too! maybe he can just stick to being a professor at chapman...
his show is crap, such on sided shilling for republicannots and religiious types, totally annoying and I even hate his voice !
Hugh just got OWNED, big time ! He knew he was in big trouble with his pathetic debate questions when the man said he was a judge, Hugh your out of your league buddy, stick to radio where you can just cut people off when they OWN you!
Just listen to his questioning, it was like he was dying to trip this guy up. That's how his show is, he just brow beats people who are less skilled at debating than he is.
he doesnt "brow beat" people - he just uses logic and his lawyer brain to catch people out.
THAT is why this guy wasnt caught out - because he actually BELIEVES fully in Ron Paul and what he stands for. And the guy knows about what he talking about.
One thing Hugh cant stand is folks who dont know what they are talking about.
No he uses his debating skills to catch people on the fly and make them sound stupid, but he screwed up with this guy, becasue he was an actuall judge who knew what he was talking about. But I guarantee you that he went there with the sole purpose of making the Ron Paul supporters look stupid because he's an asshole and that's just what he does.
oh my god..they are intercepting my e-mails and listening to my phone calls..they even go through my BassPro catalogs before i get them..this is bullshit and the new world order must stop and the old world order must be put back into full effect immediately..no more search warrants without video and dna proof..
H.H. get's owned? Where?? I've heard so many people complain about the patriot act and use the same argument Otis used in this segment, but the answer is almost always the same. They can't come up with any examples either personally or anyone they know whose personal freedoms have been compromised.
Guys like Hugh Hewitt are screaming on their radio show everyday now about the Fairness Doctrine and how the government is trying to shut them up. The government can listen to your conversations now through the microphone on your cell phone remotely even if it's off, without you knowing. Otis is right, if they can do it, they are doing it. Checkout video of farmers being raided in Ohio for growing organic food for co-ops.
He was trying to make this guy look like an idiot by asking him tough questions, but this guy was able to answer all of them and expose the fag hugh hewit's stupid bias.
pretty much ALL of it... i've never seen huge sit back and listen to a Ron Paul supporter so much in my life... it like he had NO witty insulting reply... UNBELIEVABLE!
I think you're own pro-Paul bias is mistaking the agenda on Hugh's plate here. His role in conducting the interview wasn't to filibuster and challenge every talking point, but to allow Paul Bearers to speak for themselves, what they are all about; then let listeners decide.
WTF? I cant believe that people actually say he got owned. He's right! I have seen not one person who has had their rights or freedoms taken away, but things like the Patriot act have prevented who knows how many terrorist attacks on this country, with over 50 people being caught red-handed plotting terroristic activities. Don't get mad at me, thats a fact. Paul supporters like this judge are making claims, giving no evidence, and are only looking at the glass half empty. McCain '08 for sure.
I would be more afraid of this government if I were you. Benjamin Franklin once said, "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both." Thomas Jefferson said,"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than those attending too small a degree of it." It all starts by they telling you that it's for your 'safety.' The longer we stay in muslim lands, the more terrorists we breed. watch "Freedom to Facism"
To answer back with a quote from one of the greatest presidents, Franklin D. Roosevelt, "True individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence." Due to The Patriot Act, I have not been illegally searched, no one I know has been illegally searched, good, law-abiding citizens are not at all harmed, and thousands of people do not fall victim to attacks by terrorists. Call me crazy, but I would rather protect a good citizen from attack than a pothead from the police.
This guy is the biggest douchebag neo con talk show host on the air. He never crticized the administration, even though they're not conservative on many issues and he's a complete and utter lap dog. He's also got an ego the size of the grand canyon, talks down to his callers, and thinks he's smarter than anyone. Hewitt and other bushbot hosts like them are what's wrong with talk radio.
i don't think he really got owned. the guy didn't give a specific example, that would have owned him. I've talked to Hugh a number of times, believe me, he might not be a Ron Paul fan, but he is definitely an ally. He believes in lowering taxes and government spending. it is the dems you need to worry about owning.
How could you overlook his very specific examples??? Maybe you just didn't want to see? Hewitt is a multimillionaire who derives his major income NOT from just his syndicated radio program but rather from his 'speaking' circuit events. The GOP funds and produces his itinerary and he is very highly paid. Naturally he is in the 'special' group of very rich who benefit mostly from bush 'tax cuts'. Frosting on his cake, is that nearly all his expenses are writeoffs. He is a Neocon pawn.
what specific examples? could you point them out please i must be deaf. And I don't know how much money is in Hew's bank account, but the GOP does not pay him a dime, he is as highly paid as any talk radio host i guess, and he "derives" the rest of his income from Chapman University where he teaches constitutional law. And if you consider him a Neocon pawn, i suppose you consider any republican that dosn't support ron paul a neocon pawn though huh?
I can't be your mind's surrogate cognitive mechanism for you. Hewitt is a blamer, not a solver. He refuses to acknowledge and accept what a mess his party's administration has made of our economy, our living standard, our security, our debt, our world-standing and the academic revocation of our civil/human rights. If there had been a Dem administration at helm and all this quagmire had happened as it has, there would be no end to the shrewlike screeching, condemnative namecalling wingnuts do.
so.. where were those specific examples again? and btw, im sure your idol ron paul would agree, that the republican administration did a far better job then a democratic administration would have. and,our living standard is high, our national security is probably this administrations top priority, our human rights extend further than any other nation in existence, and our economy, is as good as it ever was during the clinton administration. and fyi, hew is a "commentator", get it he comments.
lol @ Spartan. This is the same argument that holocaust deniers made during World War II. If you don't actually witness something, it doesn't exist. By that logic, there is no God, the earth is flat, and UnkownSpartan5 is not a real person, only text on a computer screen.
When you read laws that give the President authority to violate the constitution, you KNOW it will happen, and that it probably has happened. This judge said he saw warrants requested using these laws! Get a clue!
no one said hugh hewitt wasn't going to be biased adoracle1. Everyone knows he is a conservative radio host. Didn't see any ownage here, i saw more ownage of the idiot ron paul supporter.
didnt see the ownage. and since when did americans become such pussies? if this place is so bad why do millions still seek to live here? alot of you need to start carrying around your own kleenexes with you from now on to wipe away our own tears.
So far I've been caught up in 3 I.D. checkpoints. Kinda like the former Soviet Union or East Germany "Papers? Papers, Please!" I wasn't drunk, speeding or doing anything wrong. The former judge is right. These laws were made to be used...and they ARE.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Paul is a nut and so are his followers. He is funny though. What is he going to do with all this money he is getting from these people when he is out of the race? He is the republican Kuchinich
reasonable questions? Trying to blur the acts of the government by suggesting the JUDGE was a black helicopter guy...he was a biased ass, not an interviewer
Suggesting? He ASKED him. Yeah, what a fascist. And your statement is a non sequitur:How does asking a question "obscure the actions of the government"?? Dude, a little reason and logic please.
lol how funny. the reporter though he was gonna steam roll some schmo. "has it happened to you?" is irrelevant. just as the other guy said, laws are made to be used. i also liked when he said "as an american i have no choice but to take up for the rights of a fellow american" good shit
You beat me to that response, you genius!! LOL. Hugh's insinuation is: if you don't witness or experience an injustice or an act of a loss of liberty, everything is FINE. Take off the blinders HUGH!!!
Why can't people understand that you yourself don't have to have had your rights violated, to actually have your rights violated? An illegal attack on any American's rights, is a direct attack on the bill of rights. When laws are created that allow them to violate our rights, it affects all of us even if not directly.
Blimped ... I guess Hugh would be okay if they passed a law saying no one could wear clothes in public to assure no one had a bomb strapped to them under their shirt.
It doesn't look like the reporter got owned at all. If anybody got owned it was the fat guy in the Hawaiian shirt that tried to lie and say that he was a judge to try and look like he has some credability but I can clearly see that he was lying.

Hewitt needs to get a clue.
FORMETOKNOWONLY 2 years ago
I have been listening to that as well and thought I was the only one who was concerned about this.
There are several issues I have with this, namely:
1) Who will be brought in (just the sick and injured)?, 2) How many? and 3) When will they return to Haiti?
It is getting to the point where the entire Salem Radio Network crowd has decided to turn into a giant 'do-good' advocacy group.

I hate his crappy show with the same lame interviews week after week..
why don't you interview more professors hugh, like that one that owned you and starting laughing when you became rude and couldn't deate !
larryjohnny 2 years ago
Hugh Hewitt got owned? Right, just a decent interview with a Ron Paul supporter. I totally lost respect when Ron Paul did not have a clue of who Johnny Sutton was or even the most basic evidence surrounding the Ramos and Compean case. That was a Big deal here in Houston where Ron Paul is a congressman and it was a case that would have fit perfectly into his idea of an over reaching federal government with direct ties and influence of the Mexican government over the US boarder policy.

kurd55 11 months ago
@kurd55 Let's see Ron Paul is a doctor and he's been electred and Reelected to the same office
off and on (he actually has a successful private business outside of politics) for the last 35 years, he's a highly successful writer with several NY Times best sellers. Ron Paul is such a loser that his presidential campaign raised $6 million dollars ONLINE in one 24 hr period in 2008. Last year Ron Pauls son Rand Paul was elected US senator from the state of Kentucky Loser ?
MrRiceowlex 11 months ago
@MrRiceowlex Yeah, I have to agree with you--hillbillies luv Ron and Rand. However, when it comes to presidential elections--which includes people outside the redneck racist demographic, Ron Paul is a loser. He can't even come in second place. I personally would vote for him over any modern day Republican, but that doesn't matter.
kurd55 11 months ago
@MrRiceowlex
Good luck!

No he uses his debating skills to catch people on the fly and make them sound stupid, but he screwed up with this guy, becasue he was an actuall judge who knew what he was talking about. mykallb 3 years ago

I think you're own pro-Paul bias is mistaking the agenda on Hugh's plate here. His role in conducting the interview wasn't to filibuster and challenge every talking point, but to allow Paul Bearers to speak for themselves, what they are all about; then let listeners decide.
Fightflipnfold 3 years ago
he doesn't
yurriah 3 years ago
PhatFatty 3 years ago
I would be more afraid of this government if I were you. Benjamin Franklin once said, "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both." Thomas Jefferson said,"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than those attending too small a degree of it." It all starts by they telling you that it's for your 'safety.' The longer we stay in muslim lands, the more terrorists we breed. watch "Freedom to Facism"
kiro30 3 years ago
To answer back with a quote from one of the greatest presidents, Franklin D. Roosevelt, "True individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence." Due to The Patriot Act, I have not been illegally searched, no one I know has been illegally searched, good, law-abiding citizens are not at all harmed, and thousands of people do not fall victim to attacks by terrorists. Call me crazy, but I would rather protect a good citizen from attack than a pothead from the police.

i don't think he really got owned. the guy didn't give a specific example, that would have owned him. I've talked to Hugh a number of times, believe me, he might not be a Ron Paul fan, but he is definitely an ally. He believes in lowering taxes and government spending. it is the dems you need to worry about owning.
UnknownSpartan5 3 years ago
How could you overlook his very specific examples??? Maybe you just didn't want to see? Hewitt is a multimillionaire who derives his major income NOT from just his syndicated radio program but rather from his 'speaking' circuit events. The GOP funds and produces his itinerary and he is very highly paid. Naturally he is in the 'special' group of very rich who benefit mostly from bush 'tax cuts'. Frosting on his cake, is that nearly all his expenses are writeoffs. He is a Neocon pawn.
tracer740 3 years ago
what specific examples? could you point them out please i must be deaf.
UnknownSpartan5 3 years ago
I can't be your mind's surrogate cognitive mechanism for you. Hewitt is a blamer, not a solver. He refuses to acknowledge and accept what a mess his party's administration has made of our economy, our living standard, our security, our debt, our world-standing and the academic revocation of our civil/human rights. If there had been a Dem administration at helm and all this quagmire had happened as it has, there would be no end to the shrewlike screeching, condemnative namecalling wingnuts do.
tracer740 3 years ago
so.. where were those specific examples again? and btw, im sure your idol ron paul would agree, that the republican administration did a far better job then a democratic administration would have. and,our living standard is high, our national security is probably this administrations top priority, our human rights extend further than any other nation in existence, and our economy, is as good as it ever was during the clinton administration. and fyi, hew is a "commentator", get it he comments.
UnknownSpartan5 3 years ago
lol @ Spartan. This is the same argument that holocaust deniers made during World War II. If you don't actually witness something, it doesn't exist. By that logic, there is no God, the earth is flat, and UnkownSpartan5 is not a real person, only text on a computer screen.
