Aye, MW4 here refers to MechWarrior4 instead of COD: Modern Warfare 4. Ironically the MechWarrior PC-game line was started by Activision too. :)

damn, nice battle, but i would totally rock with the annihilator shoved in with 3 AC20s (that is like 36 damage times 3. that's like 108 damage)

can someone help me download the free version of this? im bad with computers and have been having no luck, the forums and such are not giving instructions that someone with "average" computer skills like myself could follow. i need a game to keep me busy while i wait for the MW reboot on the 360.

You must download it with MekTek X (MTX for short). It's MekTek's own downloader software. A download link to MTX on the other hand can be found on their website.

@Cherppow yea, i eventualy got that to work, but whenever i try to launch the game it just goes to a black screen and sits there.

This is why I avoid X-Pulse lasers like the plague. I find that a pair of ER Large Lasers gets the job done just as well.

Better yet, give a Bushwhacker a Long Tom, two extra loads of ammo, and the rest in Heat Sinks. Circle strafe the idiot in the Assault Mech, firing at his backside with the 36.0Damage (!) cannon :)

I agree, X-Pulses are hard to use due to the heat, but on the other hand they rock the target mech nicely, thanks to the increased fire rate.

An interesting bushwacker variant. I used a chimera with JJ's and long tom a couple of times, but unfortunately the latency in multiplayer games sometimes voids the long tom damage alltogether. Check out LagWarrior to see what I mean. :)

Powerful enough punch will do that. In this case I think me and my teammate unleashed a simultaneous alphastrike on the brave fellow. :)

It's unfortunate when that happens. You're in luck though: Not long ago Smith&Tinker authorized MekTek Studios to "distribute MechWarrior 4 (along with its expansion packs) completely free.".

The rumor has it that Smith&Tinker are making a new MechWarrior game, and this release of MechWarrior4 will be made to spark people's interest to the universe.

The free download is not online yet though, but be sure to check MekTek's website every now and then.

Aye, this video is from an internet game, and I do still play online. I'm using mekteks mekmatch to find multiplayer servers. You can search mektek and go to their mekmatch page. From there, go see the how-to section. It's a free download, and only changes the location where MW4 looks for MP game list.
