Z200, That's odd. I just read an article called, "UN proposes new global currency reserve" March 28, 2009 which specifically states that a world reserve currency would replace the dollar. Sounds like incrementalism to me. Doesn't this mean that other nations don't see value in the dollar, and if they don't and start using other isstruments of exchange what happens then?

Michelle Bachmann is making herself look bad. The "global currency" isn't about replacing the dollar for use inside the USA, but that's what she thinks it is. It's about the global reserve currency - which already exists, and is currently based on the dollar. The proposal by China and others was to replace the dollar as the global reserve currency only -- not to replace it inside the USA.

But Michelle Bachmann doesn't understand that simple fact. She's an embarrassment!!!
