I drove gm cars for a few years b4, but not anymore now, i only love Toyota or Lexus, the american cars are inferior either in style, durabilty, performance, relability, resale value ir engine design, built or performance, are way way way falling behind, these few years the american can only catch a bit in styling because they are learning from Toyota in the last 20 years.

Not to mention other areas of achievements, just compare the 2 engine btw Lexus es350 n the buick or regal, Lexus has an engine way way way higher in class than the latter two.
All the Japanese cars are much much more superior, reliable, performance, higher resale values n styles, etc than the american junk metal like the 1st world war rubbish tanks.
I'm sorry, but Lexus is what Buick used to be. It attracts the senior citizens with it's soft cushy ride with looks that would bore anyone to death. Besides that, the Japanese government subsides it's big 3 auto makers. Something the American government doesn't do.
I'm a die hard Lexus lover but not for the ES models, there just not compact fast and plush enough but I'll still take it over the Buick. Btw my great grandma just bought one of those same buck lacrosse
People say that buick us competitive to Lexus es350 are actually saying that those american cars are much much inferior to Japanese makes. Make sense!
ES is just a better vehicle for the segment. It's quieter and rides better plus has better quality interior. Those are huge factors. I want quiet - I don't want a noisy ride and I want a soft plush suspension for my daily 50 mile commute with the most shittiest potholled roads out there. I'll easily give up handling for a softer ride in a luxury car.
The time for excellent German quality was the 80s (great BMWs, Mercedes Benzes built like bank vaults). The time for Japanese quality was the 90s ($1 billion spent on developing the 1st Lexus LS400, + over 1.6 million miles logged testing prototypes around the world). Now... ?
@needstoregister Hyundai/Kia, and maybe a resurgence from Ford and Mercedes. GM might be making better-designed products, but I still don't trust them.
But I agree with your assessment about the '80's (well, Mercedes anyway; BMW was still improving but didn't get really great until maybe the late '80's or early '90's) and '90's. Toyota in particular is coasting on its reputation; Honda isn't at the forefront of new technology any more; and Nissan has the questionable Renault influence.
Gm buick regal, lacrosse just cannot be compared to Lexus es350, GM cars are a lot lower in level. I own a Lexus es350, it is a beautiful luxurious car, it performs, handles, etc are a lot lot bettet than regal.
@Tockertive It's the worst trend in modern design. All these cars feel claustrophobic inside. The Buick is made worse by the fact the centre console and door panels also close in on you. What happened to an airy feeling?
But they have to do the high beltline due to side impact safety regulations to deal with the fact that every other arsehole is out there driving an SUV/crossover/truck (that they don't need).
I drove a few GM cars b4, none of them satisfy me, i am disappointed. I changed to Japanese cars n they are all excellent, handling, performance, quality, n resale value. I am now driving a Lexus ES 350, this luxurious sedan treats me like a King. I just live it and my second car will be a Lexus again.
@BrockLeyland And that's exactly why are economy SUCKS because of dummies like you that can't root for the home team. go to Japan if you like their cars.
@aneal138 Agreed. The "rice cookers" don't have a thing on the U.S. products now. The Teutonic competition is worse and obscenely overpriced for what you're getting. Those who continue to buy the carefully marketed myth that products from Germany or Japan are somehow perfect or magical are fooling themselves, usually at considerable expense. For the Mercedes/BMW fetishists, consider how much of the purchase price for your Teutonic magic wagon is stratospheric labor cost being passed on to you.
@shaneu1 American cars still have a ways to go before they match reliability with the Japanese and interior materials quality with either the Japanese or Germans. (Euro reliability still sucks in my opinion.) But the Japanese are slipping in reliability and American cars are getting better in most ways.
However, others may come close, but no cars drive down the road like German cars. That much they do have on everyone else. And styling and innovation, usually.
@MyAccount4TrollingU Based on what, their useless initial quality survey? You need to dig a lot deeper than JD Power anyway. You have to cross-reference with Consumer Reports, not to mention doing your own research with safety complaints to NHTSA or looking at other sources. If you look at their various methods, you'll see gaps and stupidity, e.g., JD Power equates transmission/engine failure with a rip in the carpet for durability/reliability. (I'm not kidding.)
@MaestroTJS You can cross reference all you want until you find the answer YOU want. The bottom line is American cars today are as reliable, if not more reliable, as imported cars, Japanese or German.
@MyAccount4TrollingU No, cross-referencing is a way to find the truth. Apparently you want to latch on to the one and only thing which proves your own point. It was probably the IQS too, which is a joke to everyone but JD Power.
It's well-known, for instance, that Ford made some reliability gains, but then had their ratings drop because of problems with the Sync system.
JD also has been ranking Jaguar extremely highly lately while CR puts them near the bottom. Hmmmmm....
@MyAccount4TrollingU Right, and JD Power, which takes payments from companies to use their name in advertising, is a totally unbiased company that has a perfect testing method where something minor is the same as something major. You still haven't said if you're basing it on the IQS.
Jaguars have traditionally had crap reliability and the XF is known to have had some major issues, including some recalls. But JD Power says Jaguar is near the top. And I should believe JD completely? Yeah, right.
@aneal138 Man I'm not American. I live in Europe so i don't have to "root" for the home team. One thing is for sure: you are used to buy cars, use them for 1-5 years then scrap them. Detroit is the best example for this. Why isnt the German car industry in such a shape where they have to close plants and send tens of thousands home?
Think again. Don't give us the "buy what's made in U.S.A" because I'm sure that over 75% of everything that you touch around you is made outside your borders.
To unthinking Lexusphiles, listen to this. I purchased a new ES300 in 1993. Soon after comp warranty ended, the thing suffered a near-shutdown electrically. Dealer response: don't know, call Lexus. Lexus response: don't know, call dealer. Weeks of this ping pong game. Eventually repaired by independent, but zeroed out odometer. Shortly after powertrain warranty expired, transmission had to be replaced at cost of $4500. Airbag center sensor failed. $500 more. So much for this overpriced Camry.
My biggest problem with the Lacrosse is that the interior is just a little too overdone. It's supposed to be a relaxing car, but the interior is too busy-looking to set a calm mood--it's blingy and hectic. (I'd bet the wood is real in the Lexus but not in the Buick.) The exterior looks better than the Lexus but may have a shade too much chrome.
Lexus has way more prestige than Buick, though, and that often matters for buyers of these cars. Not to mention resale value and perceived reliability.
@MaestroTJS You should go with a Kia then. Just sayin!! I love the interior is super comfy and cozy. not busy at all. It's posh. you're looking for a cheap walmart interior. Wrong car brand, sorry, get a kia.
@aneal138 Yeah, what I described I wanted is a "cheap Walmart interior." Wrong. I'm saying a luxury car that's attempting to create a serene environment shouldn't have a busy-looking interior. The Buick has a lot of angles and there's just too much stuff all over the dash.
Buicks have also had nowhere near the quality of plastics, leather, and wood as Lexus in the past. Maybe this one is better--but maybe it isn't. I know the new Regal's isn't and neither is the Enclave's.
@MaestroTJS Lexus is a Toyota.. You're paying for the label. You have been extremely brainwashed, and that's sad. Buick beats Lexus on this match up. Case closed.
@aneal138 Lexus is a Toyota. Okay, and Buick is a GM. So what? Only the ES is really based on a Toyota, the rest of the models are different. But even the ES is more than just a Camry.
Buick beats Lexus this time according to these testers. That's all. Car and Driver put the Lacrosse in third place after the Lexus and Hyundai Genesis (which won). So it's a matter of opinion.
Don't laugh, Kia is starting to build great cars, by the way. The new Optima looks better than most mid-size cars.
I'm typing more because, I tried out my friend's lexus and it almost gave me a seizure. The lights start going around and around and around on the spedometer when it starts up, and the seats are so uncomfortable. I took a test drive in the lacrosse and couldn't believe it. When you buy a Lexus, you're buying an uncomfortable, annoying, expensive label.
I have owned new BMWs, one new Lexus, among many others, and the recently-acquired LaCrosse CXL with the 280 hp V-6 tops them all. I tried out a Cadillac CTS but concluded that it was inferior to the Buick.
The Buick may be the very best vehicle I have owned. As for Lexus, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. As soon as the warranties expired, everything started going to hell in a handbasket. A friend calls it "The Rice Cooker Syndrome." Buy U.S.! No reason to enrich Germany or Japan today.
We love our new LaCrosse! It's beautiful, rides great and is a lot of car for less than $40,000. The interior is a lovely sea of soft leather. Couldn't be more pleased.
i like the Old People Buicks like the Lesabre and Park Avenue....even the old regal...call me crazy.
but GM is making some good strides these days,i still think id prefer a lexus to a lacrosse if were talking midsized luxury sedans, the Lexus ES is an established player the lacrosse is just getting in the game...i think in time it could be something big.
Funny how people can't take when toyota or lexus don't measure up. No that can't be it's a lexus or its a toyota is pretty much their counterpoint! I think the Japanese have become complacent relying on their names rather than product. Besides I think some of the reasons those brands are able to go 200k is that people that are 50+ drive them never exceed 50mph.
@hs1296 Sure ! They're more reliable. They're much easier to work on. Lexus is nothing more than a fancy Toyota. I'd rather drive a Toyota than a Lexus. I've seen more Buicks out there with over 250,000 miles on them than I've seen Lexus' with 100,000
I'll take the Lexus since its more reliable and they have way better customer service and take that extra step. Its funny how past review that they have done on the Lexus they gave it high reviews and now they are basically trashing it..
@nashville1510 Buick Reliable please never has been GM will never build anything like that. Sorry they are always in the shop and that 3.6 engine they use has issues with the timing chains, and the AWD also with the drive shafts. So your telling me they are reliable? Just sayin..
@soyntgo4it well according to MANY auto websites, buick and caddy are some of the most reliable car brands on the market, they have really turned around for the better especially caddy, just saying some facts,im not bad mouthing lexus, they as well is one of the most reliable car brand as well
Most importantly, I want to see what the results will be when they do another comparison test 15,000 miles later. Not a Buick hater, but I did own a 2005 CXL before and I can tell you that it's an experience that I would not want to repeat. Oh by the way, I don't know which country's Lexus he was testing, but I did shop around, the ES does come with leather as standard feature. NOTE: 2010 Buick LaCrosse vs. 2009 Lexus ES 350 Comparison Test:
I BELIEVE THAT THE PAINT WONT BE AS GOOD ON THE BUICK AS ON THE LEXUS FROM PAST EXPERIENCE. PLUS IF THE ENGINE IS QUIETER AND SMOOTHER AND QUICKER AND YOU HAVE MONEY WHY WOULD U BUY A BUICK. RESALE VALUE IS GOING TO BE LESS IN A BUICK FOR REAL.
This is coming from someone that hated American cars. I was embarrassed of my country for making such crap cars. But I have to say, American auto industry has come a long way, especially Ford and Buick (Chrysler not so much). But one thing bothers me about this Buick. If 1ton=2000lbs then this Buick engine is nearly a quarter ton heavier than the Lexus engine? That is CRAZY!!! Come on Buick! You've come this far, go all the way and make an efficient engine.
@nashville1510 lol my unamerican self? stfu you inbred southern piece of shit. it is funny how you tell me to get educated. american cars will always be inferior to European and Japanese. LFA, Bugatti, SLS AMG, Zonda, Porsche, Lamborghini, R8. Get educated
Hmmm...interesting how unbiased this video is about their feelings towards Lexus. I guess that's why the 5 year total cost of ownership for a Buick jumps the price up to $43,106 versus Lexus at $40,626 (Intellichoice). You may not like Lexus as a company but there is no denying that they are still the most reliable and cost-efficient vehicles on the market!
I think the best Luxury American car is Cadillac. Anybody Agree? Actually, it just might be the best luxury car out there! My fav Cadillac is the DTS Platinum Edition! :)
IMO seems the Buick is more every day then an import luxury brand. Considering Status symbolism, the Toyota Camry V6 would have been a better comparison and there I think the overall value would tilt back towards the import as comparably equipped it's cheaper then the Buick. Compare a luxury domestic like Cadillac CTS to the ES that might be equal status wise and again I think the price vs over all value would lean towards the import - Just my $.02 but to be fair, I own an ES :)
@MrLexus1977 You can't compare a front-wheel drive cruiser vs. a rear-wheel drive sport sedan. They're not the same class nor do they have the same capabilities.
I feel like these 2 cars don't even compete! The Lexus is more tuned for a smooth, quiet cruising car designed for people who want relaxation when they drive. Whereas the Buick is more tuned for sporty driving, kind of a driving enthusiast's car. Both in my opinion are equally good, and it all comes down to what you prefer, sportiness, or relaxation.
Aren't you driving the ES350 also? What is a Driving Enthusiast? I don't know why the Buick Lacrosse is tuned for thrill driving. It's a Buick. I agree that both are equally as good. I'll Give the Buick to my Wife and Take the Lexus.
@heartlessvietboy Had both and I tell u the Buick is much better! Lexus is just a name But I understand that the Lexus supposed to be better. I like the Lexus grill better because its has horizonal chrome strips the vertical chrome strip look ok.
@heartlessvietboy I'm not gonna be stupid and shell out 5 grand more for a lable. Smart people would go with the Buick. it's got everything a normal person would want. You sleep in your house, not your car.
I know many stupid (no knowledge) people who drive Buick's. Also depends on which Buick you're talking about. People do sleep in their cars. It's four walls and a roof. Free rent.
MAN! HAVE U GUYS LOST UR MINDS! LEXUS IS WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY BETTER! The Lacrosse is not better than ES350 because It's less fuel efficient The wood is not as high quality as the Lexus The Lexus is more quieter The Lexus touch screen interface is more simpler The control layout is much better Better build quality in the Lexus The Lexus has more cargo room Lexus is more safer Finally Lexus last much longer P.S The Lacrosse is not for me and its not worth buying it than buying the Lexus ES350
I think Both Cars are equally as good. The Buick LaCrosse CXS is a bit better built. It also carries more weight. Interior is warmer. The Lexus ES350 interior is more elegant and simple. Lines are much smoother and sharper. Exterior the LaCrosse CXS Looks better. I don't mind buying either one. Lexus is my preference. But Ratings the Lacrosse is overall a Better Car.
@heartlessvietboy Love the ES or hate the ES. The ES is like 1,000 times more reliable than the the GM sedan. Lexus last forever while the Lacrosse can't last more than 150k. The ES has everything the Lacrosse has and more. So the ES350 is better period
Lexus doesn't Last Forever. It's how you take care of the Lexus. Any car can break down if you don't maintain it. I've seen Buicks go over 300,000 miles. Overall the LaCrosse is a Better Car. However Lexus is always ahead of the Game. The next Generation Lexus ES350 will include even more Technology.
@JonnyCashmore Have you seen J D Power reports? It has Buick ranked just below Lexus so I dont know were you get that Buicks are unreliable. Lexus may be ranked highest ,but that doesn't make every car below it bad.
The buick is better?......It might be better.....if it wasn't a fucking unreliable buick built by homer simpson!.....same thing as the Land Crusier vs Range Rover bullshit......yah the range rover WOULD be better.....if it worked!
I think I like the Buick better, the Buick has more style and is more refined. I have seen many younger buyers take a liking to the new Buick models, I see Lexus sedans are being bought by former owners of Town Car and Grand Marquis. And besides, Lexus was only founded in 1990, Buick in 1903. The Toyota/Lexus designs feel like chewing gum with no flavoring. The Buick also had head up display, try that Lexus!!
Buick had a number of cars to break the old man stereotype. The riviera, the gran sports, stage 1s, Grand nationals and the GNX. Unfortunately, even though these cars were faster and handled better than many of their competitors, they only gained a cult follwing. The old folks won out and both Buick and Olds went back to boring rolling boats to keep them happy. Hopefully, GM learned from the death of Olds and Buick will be on a track for younger buyers.
I think its more about the money, I also own a Harley-Davidson and people try to make themselves feel better about owning a v-star(imitation Harley) by putting down a Harley for price and such, when they know they wish they had a Harley. I don't even knock guys on V-star's or people driving the LaCrosse but dont start trying to say the lesser is better. Lexus is a status symbol, when is the last time you seen someone in a Buick and thought "they must have a good job". I'm just saying.
You guys can fight about it all you want but buicks new style looks like lexus's style. Im a fan of the old school Buick Roadmasters, regals, and skylarks but it's as if they tried to copy lexus inch by inch and then change a few things here and there to differentiate the two cars. Buick had a different but nice style that everyone expected from them but this just looks like they tried to make a lexus IMHO.
Yes, I'm a Lexus fan. Born a Chevy man. Let's face it, GM's don't last, and as far as the ES350 being a glorified Camry, the La Crosse looks like a modified Pontiac G6. Besides they "tried" to mimic the Lexus, but failed, the dash looks way to overdone, not classy more spaceship like. If you are talking luxury and class, you are talking Lexus. If you are talking Jetsons, your kids will think its cool, your talking Buick. Why do you think Buick put Lexus in their commercial, association.
I don't think the LaCrosse tried to mimic the ES350. They both look different both interior and exterior. Interior of the Lacrosse CXS spells Luxury. Leather seats are supple and plush. Interior lighting is Blue LED. Wood trim is high quality. Lexus also make excellent cars.
I really can't see why ANYONE would buy this Buick when you can have the new outstanding Volvo S60 or BMW 3-Series or Mercedes C-Class. It just doesn't make sense. The New GM: Still the same old TRASH.
I find it quite funny that they are comparing a 2010 Buick lacrosse against a 2009 ES Lexus... I mean they are a year apart, try comparing the new Lexus to this Buick. Also I'd like to say that the Lexus is more known as a "luxury car" so if someone saw you driving one they would more clearly depict that u put some money into it. But in the end it all comes down to your opinion (both are high quality cars).
I was at a Buick dealership this morning and I sat in a 2011 LaCrosse that stickers for 40 grand. This is one fine car....and the Buick's roominess, styling, and comfort really impressed me. It had a Harmon Kardon sound system too...I'm a big music lover. This video is the truth....the Lexus here is a glorified Camry and the LaCrosse really is a better automobile.
@heartlessvietboy I was impressed with all of the features and options on a $40,000 car. It's a lot of car for 40 grand. Good build quality is obvious on this car. My previous impression was Buick makes a very good car, but this LaCrosse is far more stylish than I had imagined, inside and out. The top of the dash is covered in leather, and there was a good amount of leather on the doors too. This car will change peoples' impressions of Buick being an old fart's car once they see and sit in it.
You were impressed with the car because you thought Buick doesn't make stylish cars both interior and exterior. When you got to the dealership and sat in one, you were amazed at how much bulk and build there was to the car. Thats a fair enough answer. But what does "stylish" mean? And why does leather appeal to you?
You were impressed with the car because you thought Buick doesn't make stylish exteriors and interiors. When you got to the dealership and looked at the Buick LaCrosse, you were impressed at how much bulk and build there was to the car. If thats what you said then its a fair enough answer. But what does "stylish" mean? Elaborate. Why does leather appeal to you? Elaborate.
Lexus Company approaches building their cars differently. When it comes to environmental Lexus is ahead of the game. However the Buick LaCrosse is a different type of car. Lexus has competition.
That's a good comment. The Buick LaCrosse is well worth your $40,000. Dash is Covered in Leather. Leather seats are plush. Interior Lighting is smooth Blue. Very reliable car.
GM cars are usually gas guzzler, especially their luxury brands. Lexus is now made by Toyota which instantly means better fuel efficiently. Plus, the Lexus is more internationally available than the Buick - I'd probably have to pay a couple of grand extra if I wanted to import a right-hand drive Buick Lacrosse.
I guess you can say GM makes Gas Guzzling cars, but I would't say usually. Guzzling would mean downing a gallon of gasoline. Not many cars do that in my opinion. Larger engines (cylinders) tend to mean more fuel will be used. GM makes a good number of them.
MMM the Buick has very nice and saucy lines! The interior is great too! Better than the European Opel insignia, which is what the Buick is...kind of.

An American will never beat a Lexus, regardless of your wannabe review.
BrockLeyland 3 months ago
@BrockLeyland And that's exactly why are economy SUCKS because of dummies like you that can't root for the home team. go to Japan if you like their cars.
aneal138 3 months ago
@aneal138 Agreed. The "rice cookers" don't have a thing on the U.S. products now. The Teutonic competition is worse and obscenely overpriced for what you're getting. Those who continue to buy the carefully marketed myth that products from Germany or Japan are somehow perfect or magical are fooling themselves, usually at considerable expense. For the Mercedes/BMW fetishists, consider how much of the purchase price for your Teutonic magic wagon is stratospheric labor cost being passed on to you.
shaneu1 3 months ago
@shaneu1 Doubly agreed. I'm getting a Buick Lacrosse, I'm 24 and damn excited about it.
aneal138 3 months ago
@shaneu1 American cars still have a ways to go before they match reliability with the Japanese and interior materials quality with either the Japanese or Germans. (Euro reliability still sucks in my opinion.) But the Japanese are slipping in reliability and American cars are getting better in most ways.
However, others may come close, but no cars drive down the road like German cars. That much they do have on everyone else. And styling and innovation, usually.
MaestroTJS 3 months ago
@MaestroTJS You're simply wrong. 3 of the top 5 2011 as rated by JD POWERS were American. Including #1, Ford.
MyAccount4TrollingU 2 months ago
@MyAccount4TrollingU Based on what, their useless initial quality survey? You need to dig a lot deeper than JD Power anyway. You have to cross-reference with Consumer Reports, not to mention doing your own research with safety complaints to NHTSA or looking at other sources. If you look at their various methods, you'll see gaps and stupidity, e.g., JD Power equates transmission/engine failure with a rip in the carpet for durability/reliability. (I'm not kidding.)
MaestroTJS 2 months ago
@MaestroTJS You can cross reference all you want until you find the answer YOU want. The bottom line is American cars today are as reliable, if not more reliable, as imported cars, Japanese or German.
MyAccount4TrollingU 2 months ago
@MyAccount4TrollingU No, cross-referencing is a way to find the truth. Apparently you want to latch on to the one and only thing which proves your own point. It was probably the IQS too, which is a joke to everyone but JD Power.
It's well-known, for instance, that Ford made some reliability gains, but then had their ratings drop because of problems with the Sync system.
JD also has been ranking Jaguar extremely highly lately while CR puts them near the bottom. Hmmmmm....
MaestroTJS 2 months ago
@MaestroTJS CR? LOL. Maybe for toaster ovens. LOL
MyAccount4TrollingU 2 months ago
@MyAccount4TrollingU Right, and JD Power, which takes payments from companies to use their name in advertising, is a totally unbiased company that has a perfect testing method where something minor is the same as something major. You still haven't said if you're basing it on the IQS.
Jaguars have traditionally had crap reliability and the XF is known to have had some major issues, including some recalls. But JD Power says Jaguar is near the top. And I should believe JD completely? Yeah, right.
MaestroTJS 2 months ago
@aneal138 Man I'm not American. I live in Europe so i don't have to "root" for the home team. One thing is for sure: you are used to buy cars, use them for 1-5 years then scrap them. Detroit is the best example for this. Why isnt the German car industry in such a shape where they have to close plants and send tens of thousands home?
Think again. Don't give us the "buy what's made in U.S.A" because I'm sure that over 75% of everything that you touch around you is made outside your borders.
BrockLeyland 3 months ago

MaestroTJS 3 months ago
@MaestroTJS You should go with a Kia then. Just sayin!! I love the interior is super comfy and cozy. not busy at all. It's posh. you're looking for a cheap walmart interior. Wrong car brand, sorry, get a kia.
aneal138 3 months ago
@aneal138 Yeah, what I described I wanted is a "cheap Walmart interior." Wrong. I'm saying a luxury car that's attempting to create a serene environment shouldn't have a busy-looking interior. The Buick has a lot of angles and there's just too much stuff all over the dash.
Buicks have also had nowhere near the quality of plastics, leather, and wood as Lexus in the past. Maybe this one is better--but maybe it isn't. I know the new Regal's isn't and neither is the Enclave's.
MaestroTJS 3 months ago
@MaestroTJS Lexus is a Toyota.. You're paying for the label. You have been extremely brainwashed, and that's sad. Buick beats Lexus on this match up. Case closed.
aneal138 3 months ago
@aneal138 Lexus is a Toyota. Okay, and Buick is a GM. So what? Only the ES is really based on a Toyota, the rest of the models are different. But even the ES is more than just a Camry.
Buick beats Lexus this time according to these testers. That's all. Car and Driver put the Lacrosse in third place after the Lexus and Hyundai Genesis (which won). So it's a matter of opinion.
Don't laugh, Kia is starting to build great cars, by the way. The new Optima looks better than most mid-size cars.
MaestroTJS 3 months ago
I'm typing more because, I tried out my friend's lexus and it almost gave me a seizure. The lights start going around and around and around on the spedometer when it starts up, and the seats are so uncomfortable. I took a test drive in the lacrosse and couldn't believe it. When you buy a Lexus, you're buying an uncomfortable, annoying, expensive label.
aneal138 3 months ago
I have owned new BMWs, one new Lexus, among many others, and the recently-acquired LaCrosse CXL with the 280 hp V-6 tops them all. I tried out a Cadillac CTS but concluded that it was inferior to the Buick.
The Buick may be the very best vehicle I have owned. As for Lexus, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. As soon as the warranties expired, everything started going to hell in a handbasket. A friend calls it "The Rice Cooker Syndrome." Buy U.S.! No reason to enrich Germany or Japan today.

I think the Japanese have become complacent relying on their names rather than product. This is coming from someone that hated American cars. I was embarrassed of my country for making such crap cars. But I have to say, American auto industry has come a long way, especially Ford and Buick (Chrysler not so much). But one thing bothers me about this Buick.

But Ratings the Lacrosse is overall a Better Car.
heartlessvietboy 7 months ago
@heartlessvietboy Love the ES or hate the ES. The ES is like 1,000 times more reliable than the the GM sedan. Lexus last forever while the Lacrosse can't last more than 150k. The ES has everything the Lacrosse has and more. So the ES350 is better period

Lexus doesn't Last Forever. It's how you take care of the Lexus. Any car can break down if you don't maintain it. I've seen Buicks go over 300,000 miles. Overall the LaCrosse is a Better Car.

I don't even knock guys on V-star's or people driving the LaCrosse but dont start trying to say the lesser is better. chadberry75 8 months ago
Why do you think Buick put Lexus in their commercial, association.
teamlex1 8 months ago
I don't think the LaCrosse tried to mimic the ES350. They both look different both interior and exterior. Interior of the Lacrosse CXS spells Luxury. Leather seats are supple and plush. Interior lighting is Blue LED. Wood trim is high quality. Lexus also make excellent cars.

This video is the truth....the Lexus here is a glorified Camry and the LaCrosse really is a better automobile.
colderbeer 9 months ago
How did it impress you, did you have a previous impression?
heartlessvietboy 9 months ago
@heartlessvietboy I was impressed with all of the features and options on a $40,000 car. It's a lot of car for 40 grand. Good build quality is obvious on this car. My previous impression was Buick makes a very good car, but this LaCrosse is far more stylish than I had imagined, inside and out. The top of the dash is covered in leather, and there was a good amount of leather on the doors too. This car will change peoples' impressions of Buick being an old fart's car once they see and sit in it.
colderbeer 9 months ago 18
You were impressed with the car because you thought Buick doesn't make stylish cars both interior and exterior. When you got to the dealership and sat in one, you were amazed at how much bulk and build there was to the car. Thats a fair enough answer. But what does "stylish" mean? And why does leather appeal to you?
