@KerinaLandeepa Not at all, though as she has aged, she unfortunately tends to grimace a lot as she plays. I saw a performance by her of an adagio from a Mozart Sonata. She played beautifully, I thought, but MY how she furrowed her brow and contorted her mouth. It was utterly extraneous to the playing and most unpleasant to have to behold. But I respect Uchida and believe she is a profound musician. I have also been dazzled by Hiroko Nakamura's playing, and by that of Minoru Nojima.

Her facial expressions might be contorted, but her body language at the piano is one of seriousness and discipline. If one views a Lang Lang performance, then one by Uchida, one will be able to tell the difference at once. Rudolf Serkin, a great pianist, also indulged in a bit of writhing as he played. But he was a genius.

Fully agree with the cirscus aspect. For most video's of his on Youtube I therefor shift the videoframe out of the viewing area. But this one is OK and really Schumann. His Chopin's are more Lang Lang than Chopin and not worth listening to. Yundi Li may also make faces in Chopin but remains true to his music.

@Chakiejan Analysis Note 002: The subject persistently tries to use techniques that include repeating words (as with "assclown") to disarm the other entity. The lack of length in the reply states his almost breath of exhaustion as if to say "when will he stop posting", though in dilemma due to the submission of inferiority if the subject stops replying first.
As predicted from AN001, literally repeating the same response desperately trying to provoke the other user. Predicted same reply again.

@Chakiejan Analysis Note 003: The subject took approx 2 days longer to respond, which could mean that the analysis technique has damaged the ego to be able to reply back as fast as possible, or at least with the inclusion of doubt due to this type of technique. Additionally, it could also mean that frustration is building up due to its ineffective trolling.
As per usual, subject used the same phrases/words, as predicted. Expecting similar reply again, to Ad nauseam.

Analysis Note 004: Like to counter the previous commenting pattern, the subject tries to actually comment earlier than the usual time (ie. like the wave pattern of an equilibrium). The subject requests the analysis to stop, which seems like the subject is fronting and putting the blame on something else to replace its own interests. The subject's agenda: attempt to destroy the other user's self-esteem (ie. "jibberish).

Analysis Note 005: The subject attempts to deviate from the commenting pattern, meaning the analysis DID have an effect on its behavior, in contrast to its claims of the seemingly 'disregarded' analysis notes. The subject still attempts to provoke with repeated words/phrases.

Well, that all depends, does it not, on who's listening to the performance! Yet if TheIshter's comment is taken at face value, all a player has to do is believe he or she is the greatest, and then 'justify' the possession of a massive ego. Is this really the sort of artistic standard dedicated servants of great music should aspire to? Let's hope not, and let us recall that no less a genius than Mozart himself would have utterly disdained the sort of vulgar display Lang indulges in here!

It's hard enough to watch the likes of Glenn Gould play - but at least Gould was a serious musician and an amazing artist. One cannot say the same thing about this poseur who writhes in ecstasy as he bathes his ego on-stage.

@KerinaLandeepa Not at all, though as she has aged, she unfortunately tends to grimace a lot as she plays. I saw a performance by her of an adagio from a Mozart Sonata. She played beautifully, I thought, but MY how she furrowed her brow and contorted her mouth. It was utterly extraneous to the playing and most unpleasant to have to behold. But I respect Uchida and believe she is a profound musician. I have also been dazzled by Hiroko Nakamura's playing, and by that of Minoru Nojima.

@Noshirm I don't see your logic. Lang Lang and Mitsuko Uchida both display contorted facial expressions while playing, but Lang Lang is guilty of ego-tripping and not Mitsuko. Please explain your double-standard.

@KerinaLandeepa The difference is that Lang Lang seeks to draw attention to himself, while Uchida is a serious musician who focuses the attention on the music she plays. Her facial expressions might be contorted, but her body language at the piano is one of seriousness and discipline. If one views a Lang Lang performance, then one by Uchida, one will be able to tell the difference at once. Rudolf Serkin, a great pianist, also indulged in a bit of writhing as he played. But he was a genius.

To me Lang Lang looks like a really big, little kid. Its sort of an oxymoron but his face looks about like that of a 6 year old. It's funny.

I agree with your sentiments, but abhor the gratuitous vulgarity of your mode of expression.
If you MUST use the F-word you could at least SPELL it correctly.
That aside, Lang Lang is most certainly a musical and pianistic genius of the highest order.

Beautifully played, with a nice, "mellow" tone and nice embellissments. Normally I find Lang Lang more of a showman with exaggerated performances of Chopin, but this one is superb.

so many could be jealous for his playing.. but we have to admit that he treat the all staff like a circus and he behave in a way which is simply disgusting... i don't like those stupid faces from time to time and his walking and face is ridicoulus.. a real artist doesn't need to show like a monkey all the time.

Fully agree with the cirscus aspect. For most video's of his on Youtube I therefor shift the videoframe out of the viewing area. But this one is OK and really Schumann. His Chopin's are more Lang Lang than Chopin and not worth listening to. Yundi Li may also make faces in Chopin but remains true to his music.
