  • lool the fart forbidden :D :D

  • I have one of these, and the drive really can kick.

  • Sounds like there's a chorus in it too, right?

  • Sounds like a rotating speaker, but NOTHING beats the real thing, nice demo, thanks for posting.

  • Hi Garrad, can i pick your brains? I am an acoustic player & am looking into getting some kind of effects pedal but have never used one before so i dont have a clue about them....i am guessing i can use this on acoustic guitar? would the sounds be the same? I am guessing they would be but just wanted to check before i went ahead & brought one!

    Thanks, Colette

  • hi, your guitar is acoustic/electric right?

  • it is, i have just picked up a zoom 504 off ebay but am still interested in this....do you think it would be worth my while?

  • yep acoustic/electric semihollowbody 93 strat.

    they're rare :D

  • Never heard of the semi-hollowbody strat.

If you're looking for a good acoustic guitar pedal I would recommend the Boss CE-5 (I have a video of it). Any kind of chorus or flanger would be nice with acoustic. Maybe a reverb pedal too. They also have good acoustic-designed stompboxes for acoustic. Yamaha puts out some good ones. Thanks,

    Jared

  • Hi, i want to buy a cheap univibe style pedal from Danelectro but im confused... This, the cool cat vibe or the chicken salad pedal...?

  • Chicken salad.

    Cool cat is a chorus.

  • @zerosoma33 Danelectro has a Cool Cat series now with lots of effects, metal cases and low prices. The old Cool Cat Chorus is probably going to be discontinued.

  • @zerosoma33 theres a whole range of cool cat pedals. the vibe pedal is the closest thimg to a rotary speaker pedal.

  • @zerosoma33

Cool Cat isn't a chorus at all, Cool Cat is a range of pedals by Danelectro. Chorus is one of them but a Cool Cat isn't purely a chorus.

  • @badboykane You are both right, firtst it was a chorus, in the style of the fab tone overdrive much bigger than the cool cat series of little pedals that came out afterwards.

  • @rfz84 it is neither, there is a cool cat vibe peddle and a chicken salad that would have a similar effect, but this is a different peddle that is less common then the two prior, and btw there are many cool cat's not just the chorus

  • @rfz84

Neither, this is the Rocky Road.

Chicken Salad and Cool Cat vibe are different pedals by Danelectro.

Cool Cat Vibe is a Univibe pedal in the Cool Cat series of pedals and it's a greeny blue colour.

Chicken Salad is a Univibe pedal also and it's red.

  • Doesn't sound like a phaser or a chorus. You can actually hear a pulsing which is more representative of a rotary speaker sound. More active. Doesn't sound like a Leslie for sure but it's definitely different than a phaser, chorus or phaser chorus combo. Thanks for the demo.

  • why didnt you kick it into fast?

  • I was afraid.

  • that just made your demo that much better.

  • you look like you really like danelectro pedals,

  • too much like a cheesy phaser, poor pedal

  • Na, phasers don't mess with the pitch of the notes.

  • no its melissa by the allmans you fool. this thing doesn't really sound anything like a leslie, but of course not. almost sounds like a phaser but with chorus

  • I don't get the difference between a Rotary Speaker and Chorus, sound pretty much the same =S

  • its weird, the trem, vibrato, and chorus fx have all come from the natural sound quality and waves of the chorus effect

  • NO FARTING

  • I don't suppose you could try this pedal out with a microphone going through it, could you? I'm interested to hear how it sounds...

I might think about picking one up!

  • lol....
