  • to change the dpi, would u change the x+y resolution?

  • An 8x10 at 600dpi isnt going to look any better that one at 300dpi since printers (home and professional) don't use the additional pixels. 300dpi will give you photoquality, which means you cannot see any pixels, blurryness etc in your printed image. The only thing you get with a 600dpi 8x10 photo is a bigger file size.

  • i wanna print something thats 23" x 3.5 inches using a common hp deskjet ..im using gimp 2 im aware that the image im wanting to print will ultimately end up on 3 seperate sheets of paper but thats okay ..i can piece-tape 2gether ill have my long and narrow printed picture ..ANYONE happen to know how to make this happen..no rush..but would like to know b4 i loose interest as im pron to do- to avoid aggrivation - tanx

  • @dubvishun No problem . . . what I would do is copy and paste it into 3 separate documents and then print each one. Use the ruler tool to space it out correctly, then use the rectangular selection tool to make your selection, then copy and paste it into a new file. To make sure you get the whole thing make sure each document is 9 x 3.5"

  • Thank you so very much

  • thanks!! exactly what i needed to know!!! :)
