So I guess her correct range spans about E3-B5. This is wide range?! Nicole's range live is E3-G6 (over 3 octaves, not less like Melody), when her timbre is really nice to ears and doesn't sound like yelling goat in EVERY register. Regardless of how much training she's had she's still miles ahead of Melody in Technique. If they both had the same amount of training it would be even more obvious Melody is the better singer. Nicole's not very versatile at all, Melody's version of feeling good straight op murked Nicole's version which was all wrong for her voice and that high note at the end was awful, very reminiscent of a cat getting ass raped by a bear.
I don't know about that. Melody just has less range. If anything, the fact that she's able to execute all of those melismas with such ease and dexterity is proof that her technique is pretty damn good, ESPECIALLY her breathing, because if it was POOR, her vocal chords would not be flexible enough to pull off those runs, and she'd be limited to an extremely straight style of singing, a la Jessica Simpson.

Did anyone see the comparison between her and Nicole? They both sang Feeling Good in the same key. Comfortable key for Sopranos. I prefer Nicole's top belting register (F5 and G5). Melody's notes of that are mixy and rushed. How can she be a Soprano?
the second Eb6 she did,did not sopund force to me,however when she did the first one in space she was sick,i've watch other performances of space and she did the note much better than this one.
the first eb6 played was during her live performance of space on they tour and the second one came from her singing feeling good at sumbody's birthday
Okay now I am totally impressed. She has the exact range of Nicole from chest to falsetto (C3 - Eb6) except that Nicole's chest voice ends in Bb5 and hers ends in G5. But same falsetto range. She just needs to work on her whistle so she can surpass Nicole's whistle register.
Uh. Nicole's highest falsetto/whistle note is G#6..which she hit effortlessly, and went right into it. She didn't have to build up to it like Melody did with her Eb6, which sounded VERY forced. Nicole has the better range. I wouldn't be surprised if Nicole could go higher...but Melody, I definitely don't think she can.
Only 1 of Melody's Eb6's sounded forced. You can hardly say her Eb6's are forced based off of 1 live performance. It's not all about high notes with me anymore, lol. That's why I don't listen to Jessica anymore. Her tone, projection, style of singing....everything about her voice makes my skin crawl now. I like Nicole's tone very much when she isn't using that "sex kitten" affectation....her head voice is BEAUTIFUL, and she has some great, effortless sounding belts. That's just the icing on the cake.

Nicole has a better lower register. Stronger, more powerful mddle belts. WAAAAY more extensive upper belting range. A better head voice. Better falsetto/whistle notes. She is a far more dynamic performer than Melody, she dances a hundred times better...You see, that's the difference as far as the Kelly fans who said she was better than Beyonce are concerned. They couldn't PROVE it using anything that can be anchored down to factual evidence. In proving Nicole's superiority to Melody, I CAN.

As for falsetto/whistle, the highest Messlody has gone was Eb6...and it was forced and shrieky as hell. Nicole's gone up to effortless F6 and G#6 wiht vibrato, and hit them WITHOUT having to do a gradual build, like Melody had to do with her Eb6. Nicole can go MUCH higher than Melody. That's not an opinion ("i think") it's a FACT.

If Nicole was as half as good as you thought her solo career would have took off along with PCD's last album, cause it sure wasn't lack of promotion.

Nicole didn't get training until a couple of years ago, and she was always better than Melody lol. She wasn't trained when she was with Eden's Crush. & honestly, she has a lot of trouble with her breath support on occasion, so I'm not sure as to just how advanced her level of training is. But in any event, Nicole >>>> Melody. and don't give me that "if she was so good, she'd be doing better"...there are a LOT of AMAZINGLY talented singers that fall by the wayside to lesser talented ones.

Regardless of how much training she's had she's still miles ahead of Melody in Technique. If they both had the same amount of training it would be even more obvious Melody is the better singer. Nicole's not very versatile at all, Melody's version of feeling good straight op murked Nicole's version which was all wrong for her voice and that high note at the end was awful, very reminiscent of a cat getting ass raped by a bear.

I don't know about that. Melody just has less range. If anything, the fact that she's able to execute all of those melismas with such ease and dexterity is proof that her technique is pretty damn good, ESPECIALLY her breathing, because if it was POOR, her vocal chords would not be flexible enough to pull off those runs, and she'd be limited to an extremely straight style of singing, a la Jessica Simpson.

Okay now I am totally impressed. She has the exact range of Nicole from chest to falsetto (C3 - Eb6) except that Nicole's chest voice ends in Bb5 and hers ends in G5. But same falsetto range. She just needs to work on her whistle so she can surpass Nicole's whistle register.

Uh. Nicole's highest falsetto/whistle note is G#6..which she hit effortlessly, and went right into it. She didn't have to build up to it like Melody did with her Eb6, which sounded VERY forced. Nicole has the better range. I wouldn't be surprised if Nicole could go higher...but Melody, I definitely don't think she can.

She hit just like you hear in here, a live Eb6 from her "Feeling Good" performance "Effortlessly". She just have her bad points, just like Nicole. I do think she need more training. Yeah Nicole has the better range and a much better vocalist. hands down. she has control over her voice . you can tell that she really worked hard to get her voice where it is now. melody sounds raw though. she needs training but she really is good for someone who isn't vocally trained.

Nicole Scherzinger has a little more range than her but I like Melody too. She sounds really raw and she still lacks control of her voice. Vocal training will help her use her voice to the fullest.
Her chest range ends at G5 - not bad at all and I think Nicole reaches up to Bb5 in chest.
Falsetto - wow she hits an Eb6. I've only heard Nicole in C6 in a falsetto.
Nicole however has whistle register up to G#6. I'm sure Melody can do a whistle.

LOL. There are 5 things wrong with this comment:
1- Nicole's C6 in "Baby Love" was actually a connected head tone, NOT falsetto.
2- Nicole does falsetto F#6 expressions in live performances ALL of the time.
3- Nicole has done Eb6 in falsetto in a couple of performances of "I Don't Need a Man"...right in the beginning.
4- Melody's Eb6 in "Space" sounds EXTREMELY forced.
5- Nicole's G6/G#6 in whistle sounded EASY for her.
