This incident was little more than proof FIFA do not want good officiating at the World Cup. This referee had no clue or chance. Referees should be chosen according to their resume and experience not by their nationality. The only reason this guy was at the World Cup was FiFAs bizarre version of Affirmative Action. As far as I'm concerned just pick the referees who do the Champions League and be done with it. They officiate at the highest level period.

2) Allow United States players to be held and tackled in the box
3) Players onside may be called offside if the following play has any potential positive result....
