Violence against women and their children is the most widespread human rights issue on our planet. that is fact ,and it remains that way and will continue to be aslong as people defer from that fact.

Ive suffered at the hands of my dad from teens until now (10yrs later). It was my birthday the other day, but I still got a punch,swung around by my hair and tried to have my arm twisted off. Growing up with an abusive father taught me that violence was a way of life. My Mum did as he told her to and this paved the way for me to accept violence by my partner as normal. I understood that verbal, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse was not right but by that time, I was too afraid to leave. I eventually did escape and I now try to help others who are being abused.
