Why must the RSM and CSM march 'not in sync' to the rest of the parade?

Like: When the rest of the parade swings their arms forward, they swing backward.

@augpeh Because the Parade RSM/Colours RSM holds the pace stick on this left hand,so he can only swing his right handwhile the GOH men/women who carries the Sword,rifle or Colours on their right hand,so they swing their left hand,but the legs are the same.
