The research is VERY clear. Long duration braces are the most dangerous to the roots.

right now i have a screw implant in my mouth to fix my open bite,it has gotten alot more closed.I also only have 4 brackets on each side of my mouth(upper) my dentist said i would have to use brace 2 yrs minuim but i was wondering if 6 month braces would be a good option for me? and is it true it only fixes your teeth and not your bite?and im 15 1/2

@HelloKitty101ism 6 month braces can fix some bites but not others. That's why a consultation is so important. It depends how much of the ground work has been already done.
