I actually ran a search here for Stephen King Stand Chicken Dark and amazingly enough here it is. LOL! Thanks so much for posting. This was such a creepy scene....
Stu's escape from the hospital remains one of the scariest scenes I've ever seen in any film. The miniseries may not have been perfect, but it sure had some damn good scares.
i forgot how scary this part was. i do however remember sleeping with the light on the first time i saw this. like almost 15 years later i might again.
I'm reading the book again for some reason. The movie scared the shit out of me. Randall Flagg is sooo scary. When he's sitting on the telephone pole...omg. When he's standing in the corn watching mother abagail and when he screams at Stu in the cornfield and in the hospital.omg. Yeah-Stu running through the dead hospital is beyond creepy. The book is so depressing to me, I feel this overwhelming saddness in some chapters. lol-im such a sap.
I also think it's quite depressing, I tried to read a few months ago but couldn't, I was on forced vacation because of a certain swine flu outbreak and really wasn't a very good idea to read it during those weeks.
I read it the past few weeks and at although it was very depressing at times, it was also hope inspiring. And the ending... quite scary, nightmarish, I couldn't believe it.
Sorry. Don't like dark meat.

@Flagg1991 Well, that is Gary Sinise in the 90s that he's calling "beautiful," so he's not totally nuts...

Does the sentence make any sense at all or is it just completely random?
Godziller66 2 years ago
It's not supposed to make any sense. The guy is just delirious and insane from being sick with the super flu.

@Godziller66 Stephen King is the master of random: "I am the literary equivalent of a Big Mac and Fries."

There is lots of dark humor thrown into the woodwork. Keeps things fresh in the film.
