The fact that Biron went after Crosby just shows that Crosby does not intimidate him at all. Give Biron some credit, he went toe to toe with Ray Emery.

And yeah, Laraque's so tough, he tried that stunt when the Flyers had Timonen, Coburn, Kapanen, Tolpeka, and Potulny on the ice. Why not try that with Smith, Hartnell, Eager, etc. etc.

And unfortunately, the Jones and Hartnell hits were hockey plays. The Boston players put themselves in bad positions and they were already committed to the check. You NEVER turn your shoulders square to the boards like that and you never go down on your knees when you know someone's coming to hit you. Each play was a result of two bad split second decisions.

If you actually look at the play, you can see that Eager did not lead with his elbow. Should he have gotten a penalty on the play? Probably. And guess what, when Laraque saw him coming, he stuck HIS elbow up. When Laraque starting punching Eager, he was already facing the ice on his hands and knees, so what do you want him to do?

And just because the announcers were on the Penguins side there, doesn't mean that the Flyers were dead wrong.
