it's revolutionary because of how smooth every interaction is. when you touch it, it's smooth. no tablets are like that, that user friendly. only problem is, if they don't allow for usb it's going to piss a lot of people off....ie. no web cam for skype. no key board. not video game controler. directly connecting pics from ur camera to your ipad. it's going to be a long rough road for the ipad. is it cool, very, but is it as practical as they make it seem to be. maybe not.-i'm out playas

Most of the negative comments probably come from people that can't afford it. It looks like this and it looks like that, 10 times bigger than an ipod, its not a notebook, bla, bla, bla. The fact is that the ipad is cool as hell and its powerful ... I can't wait to get one. By the way, I own 2 ipods, iphone 3gs, ibook, touchsmart, notebook pc. I'm not buying this because I want to replace any other device, I'm buying it because I can afford it and I want it.

To have the full experience with the iPad you have to give up over $800. Seriously? and it's highly uncomfortable; it doesn't really fit in your pocket. I can see my mom buying it, cuz she has a purse.. It also just looks like a iTouch on steroids with it's huge screen. I'd rather buy a laptop.

Well, the iPad is really Apple's version of a Netbook, only ten times better because of all it can do. Some Microsoft users don't use netbooks because they can't do everything a regular laptop can. The same principle applies with the iPad, it's not for everyone. But if you can afford it, it's great for casual use. A daily public transportation user, like myself, would love this, as well as professionals to run their business. Plus I really like the New York Times application!
