Jeff Perry, brother to Gregg and Zach (also Leonard & Dennis!) Perry and perhaps best known for the awesome classic "Love Don't Come No Stronger" on ARISTA (1975). It's more likely the production was heavily influenced by his brother Gregg, who was a staff writer at Invictus and recorded for CASABLANCA, RCA and ALFA.
When Jeff Perry was working at Motown, he became close personal friends with Marvin. I'm sure they inspired each other, both as people and as musicians.
Very nice....great post,zoodden!

Strong likeness to the Marvin Gaye productions of that time. I loved this tune from the mid 70's. Great post.

This is definitely a Marvin Gaye-like production..but I like Jeff Perry, he has a real likable quality!

Makes a lot of sense. The style and flow of this record has that kind of Motown sound. Thanks for the info.
