I have never seen or played it before, but I've always wanted to discover more about it ever since the name popped up in the middle of Turrican 2 ("KATAKIS LIVES!")
Funny that this is more impressive on the C64 than the Amiga, there is no parallax scrolling on the Amiga version and the graphics look like something drawn on an Amstrad but this is quite impressive for the 1982 Commodore flagship computer compared to the 1986 Amiga wunderkind!!!!
On a more serious note I've just replayed it as a way of doing research for the game I'm currently working on. And the music plays a great part in it too.
I accidently found a way to cheat in this game. If you can time it so that the laser is right inside the boss while you pause the game, it will continue to take damage in die in a few seconds.
When you complete the game, you can read in the credits that 'Manfred Trenz', the developer of this game was a huge fan of the arcade version of R-Type.
C64 had the best music chip ever in the commodore sections even better than amiga series

@MadCommodore Not only that but the bosses there are bland and uninteresting, not one of them looks aynthing like the bosses in this game.
