i believe it was all in her mind. She was brought up in a strict catholic family that type of thing can do number on your mind. It's pointless to attempt to disprove beliefs that are based on the faith of an individual as opposed to hard science. Matters of faith do not need to be proven to believers. Christianity has its own logic which is not necessarily in opposition to science depending on personal interpretation. It also seems to me that most atheists/agnostics argue from an incomplete understanding of science (usually theoretical physics) to "disprove" God. But none of these ideas can completely discredit faith.

The fact that all of the prophecies of the Old Testament came true is in direct conflict with probability of randomness. For proof of the bible today, look to the nation of Israel. It became a nation in one day just as Isaiah prophesied against all odds after nearly 2000 years of being scattered (also prophesied). You're right, though, the KJV is the most accurate.

@CowherdingMike Sigh, God didn't "condone" any of those things. God's people, the Israelites, had many enemies. Since God knows all possible outcomes, He knew that if His people didn't destroy their enemies (including children and infants), they would keep rising up and attacking them. Also, the slavery thing was a common practice in every region in those days, but God set several rules on treating them with honor. Why did He allow slavery in the first place? Maybe to spare the survivors.

They were scattered throughout the world after the fall of the temple in 70 A.D. for nearly 2000 years. Then, on May 14, 1948, they became a nation in ONE DAY!!! Or if a man sleeps with a mother and daughter. God IS loving, believe it or not, BUT since He is completely just and holy, He HAS to judge sin. The only thing that covered our sin was a blood sacrifice. Why a blood sacrifice you say? Because the life is in the blood. Jesus became that sacrifice for us once and for all.

YHWH can be proven by the fact that all the prophecies in the Old Testament came true exactly and are still being proven today. Jesus cursed three cities for their lack of faith: Capernaum, Chorazim and Bethsaida. You can go over there today and see for yourself that they are in complete ruins. Also, Isaiah said that Israel would become a nation in one day, which it on May 14, 1948 after 1878 years of exile!!

Does that mean we judge them? No, because the bible states that we should not judge lest we be judged. Also, we stand up for the rights of unborn children, not stifle scientific research. If that research is based on immoral grounds then we should defend the good. I'm not a catholic and those sins were of man.

There was one kid who died and saw his unborn sister in heaven at the age she would have been if she hadn't died at childbirth.
