CBS's loss and CNN's gain. I always said John Roberts was the only anchor worthy to replace Dan Rather after he retired from the Evening News on CBS.

New music shaped my youth. Watching Gary Newman perform and the Buggles and the Police not to mention Max Webster etc....etc.

Then came Much and the continuity was JD Roberts. His velvet smooth Baritone introduced a new world of music to me and i'm forever grateful to him. I'm 45 now but my roots ar firmly planted in this wonderful era. Thanks JD!

Anyone remember JD's interviews with Motorhead or Iron Maiden or countless punk bands in the early 1980s? Also anyone remember when he did an assignment from Exhibition Stadium and slipped on ice and said "FuCk!!"

JD Roberts was great on MM, when it was still hip and willing to take risks. After JD, Much Music sucked ass more and more.

I watch very little foreign news but I caught cnn this morning while channel surfing and roberts was interviewing Anvil lol Great stuff that documentary looks excellent!
