nice idea, though may be better to have your tablet in a skin. Velcro on the skin rather than the tablet. Skin adds some protection. Still trying to figure out the best way to mount my tablet in the truck. This velcro idea cam to mind but not sure if I like the velcro look on the dash when the tablet is not there.

PS I just played with the archos running Droid yesterday, I don't think the money you save is worth it. iPad hands down, especially when updated firmwares have sone new crazy ass features.
