did he let you drive? i'm 12 years old going on 13 in april 2012 and for my birthday my dad's going to rent an 26 ft uhaul and let me drive. was it fun?
We were going to calculate the fuel mileage but forgot to write down the starting mileage at fill-up. It probably took about 50 gallons of gas to go about 425 miles.
I'm not sure if that was Leroy Van Dyke, it may have been a different version.
I think they did continue using the 366 up through the early 90's but your truck does have a very similar dashboard to the pickups of its day, just like this one does. The GMC buses continued to use the 60's style dashboard up through around 1990 or so.
Thanks! We just found out about the hotel by searching on towns along the trip and it turned out really nice. The radio in that truck does not do justice to that AM radio station's audio. I'm sure it goes out to at least 10 khz audio response when heard on a wide-bandwidth AM receiver. Not sure if it still uses AM stereo though.
I see the windmills at the end, in Indiana a couple countys down from me there's a very large windfarm being built that's suppose to become the largest windfarm in the country.
Thatz a very nice hotel and I would love to stay there. I'm guessing the food is free at the snack bar. This summer I'm thinking about going over to Tx to visit my Aunt and Godmom that I haven't seen in years. By then I should have my drivers license if I pass the road test. If I go to Tx and have my license, I should visit you guys too, LOL!
Hey thanks...the food was all complimentary. That will be so nice when you can drive whenever you want...we'd be glad to have you for a visit if you come out this way!

loved the ronny Milsap on the radio, there is no music at all on the AM where I live, I miss it.

We're lucky enough to still have AM music stations in most areas of Texas...country seems to be the most popular AM music format.

I really like that old hotel. Great song on the radio at the end of the video, too! I haven't heard that one in years.

The fan was indeed on high...but the "high" speed didn't provide much air velocity. It did cool real well though.
