This game was actually really good, it was long had an interesting story and was difficult at times. A lot of people though it was going to be shit and IMO this a legit spinoff.

@ Rollthebuddah it's because people who played SSB first would be disappointed when they found out you have a staff, not a pistol. That and this is nothing more then a Zelda ripoff. A totally awesome, sci-fi themed ripoff with a great storyline, but nonetheless a ripoff.

I dunno why anybody wouldnt like this game, its amazing, i still play it to this day, i love it that much. It can be a 'little' hard in places (Fear Krazoa spirit for example T.T)

But over all its an awesome game.

Despite weak-looking explosions, magic, and dinosaurs, this is probably one of the best Starfox games out there. It certainly has the best rendition of the theme.

I hated the idea....but then I loved it. I loved Starfox 64 and Adventures. Never played Assault.

@thericate Assault is, in my opinion, the best Starfox from a technical standpoint. Although linear and short as can be...it does allow for the best multiplayer by utilizing all the aspects of combat (foot, tread, air)

this game was amazing. it was hard to get into at first O.o it was getting used to the awkward dino speak thing...besides that i adore the gamecube starfox games.

i wanted to be fox when i played this XD im like how fuckin sweet wud it be to be him?? -question is...how annoying wud it be to have to save the lylac system lol.

but anyways, i played this game in 2006...never let go of it, gamecube is the best. u get it all...mario,sonic,fox,link,DK jesus...best console ever. plus they have voices

I loved Render Ware. The games never let you down. Not to mention the games are more of a challenge. If Assault was made by Rare, then it would have been MUCH better than it is now. :(

I liked this game really because Nintendo and Rare were trying to do something different for the Starfox franchise. It added adventure elements, puzzle elements combined with the flying mechanics.

This game is EPIC! I feel it was the best Gamecube game ever! It's right next in line to Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and Kirby Air Ride in the list of epic GC games. ^^

well...this may be the main theme or the menu theme, but this is absolutely NOT the opening theme. the opening theme is the first song that plays after you actually start the game, which in this case, is way more awesome than this.
