It's really similar to how they sing it for The Wonder Years...not really the original Beatles version...I think that's what they were going for maybe...
RIGHTEOUS! I'm a big fan of keith's music.. swing by my channel and checkout my KU COVERS! keith you rock! sarah buxton and the little big town gals..yall did a great job!!!! peace&love
does anyone know if this version of this song has been released on iTunes yet? i'd love to get this as an mp3 but i can't find it on iTunes...i'm assuming it's not been released there yet....
He ruined my song!!!!!!! Can we send him packing now? No one else wanted to perform this or what!!!?!!!! Just glad the song got heard at least!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's not upbeat about this? It's an anthem for all the people who pulled together and got Nashville ready for this huge influx of people. The city looked beautiful and it's a tribute to all the hard work that went into getting it that way. Way to go, Nashville! And way to go, Keith, for rocking this one!
I saw it twice and heard the sound check. This made me a Kieth Fan more! Iv'e seen Joe Cocker, The Grateful Dead. Maybe not a Beatles way of doin it, but was perfect for the moment . The fans and the community all helped with the flood...
I am usually a huge Keith Urban fan but I was disappointed with the way he sang this song. It's supposed to be an upbeat, feel good song and he just tried to over sing it - especially the background singers. The beauty of this song is the simplicity of it. I would also have been disappointed if he did NOT put all he had into one of his performances, so I just think this song wasn't for him. Like i said though, I am a big Keith Urban fan just not a fan of this cover.
It was the HIGHPOINT, for sure of 06/11 @ L P Field. And we certainly did not mind having (getting) to sit thru it twice, since they had to re-do for broadcasting ... Keith is Aussome!! It was a wonderful collaboration, also.
Best CMA performance :) On a whim I decided to go down to the picture line in front... didn't even know this awesome performance was coming, and I was lucky enough to be right down front for it! :) It was the highlight of the concerts for me.
Awesome!!! I was there and it brought tears to my eyes. What a job Nashville is doing to rebuild themselves. You can not imagine the damage there if you didn't see it. Good job!!
I was there! It was awesome! HAHA to those that didn't go. Kid Rock did 2 songs that won't be on TV when this comes on. It was only for us that was there in person.
what a heart touching preformance!! caused me to once again shed tears for the people of Tennesse... nice job Keith and friends... (love the girls, Kimberly, Sarah and Karen)...
Great Job Keith!!!! I'm so sad I missed you this year at CMA Fest, you are the best, and God Bless you for all your generosity and help, you are a true humanitarian!!!!
This is note for note, a copy of Joe Cocker's version, most famously done at Woodstock in 1969.
