Nice to see a more traditional approach to W.'s stage setting--and yet it still also has a modernist feel--I'm not against that, as long as there is balance. This works unlike the Ring 'drag' races at Bayreuth.
@danawinsor Thanks. You can go to Amazon movies and tv and put in Parsifal and it will come up as Parsifal 2007. It has Siegfried Jerusalem and Eva Randova on the the front cover. The Met dvd of Parsifal from 2002, also with Siegfried Jerusalem, is also excellent. I will be getting the Parsifal on Blu Ray from 2010 staring Christopher Ventris soon. Wagners' operas permenate my thoughts continously. Parsifal does something to me that I can't put into words. Be sure to check out books on Wagner.
@danawinsor Once again, thanks for the recommendation. BTW -- if you would indulge me, I have another question: to put it bluntly, does Kundry die at the end of this version? It seems to me that some opera directors don't want her to die, despite it being clearly Wagner's intention. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts.

Someone must stop whats happening in the Bayreuth festival, they have defiled everything, they are raping the essence of Wagnerism.
