  • Stunning- just absolutely gorgeous and fascinating as Edie herself.

  • Edie was the finest lady there ever was. She could have been anything she wanted. With that face, and that ability and talent, and dimples, the only thing stopping her was her emotional problems and drug abuse.

  • goddess..

  • goddess..

  • Oh my god! Dimples, dimples! Edie had the finest face in history, and dimples!!!! And then Siouxsie & the Banshees o top of that!

  • I love it!*

  • Poor Edie. Stuck in a 1960s time loop, she nevertheless lingers on, and her memory is still very much alive. And sometimes I feel she is still around somehow. What a precious, beautiful, brittle, eternal soul!

  • Nicely done, very atmospheric.

I heard this version before the original, and I already love Siouxsie, so my opinion is biased. Please don't hurt me if you like the other better!

Having said that, I'd probably prefer this version anyway. I found the original musically and vocally monotonous. I think the adaptations Siouxsie made enhance and punctuate the lyrics, so they have more impact.

Of course, I appreciate the original, because without the original, we wouldn't have this one...

  • very Rudolph Valentino...

  • This is like Absinthe! - Edie's face - Siouxsie's voice - damn, so cool it burns,,,,,,,,,,Good work Desertshore

  • neat. glad 'ya like :D

    ~ don't forget to RATE ;)!!

  • Thanx for another great montage..very interessting...greetings from Copenhagen

  • hello, curt :)!

many, many thanx for the kool komment.

  • I really like the Kraftwerk original.

Colder and filled with more iciness

than the cover. I can understand

why the Banshees covered it. Why

its probably one of their favorite things.

  • it out-ices this ?!? .. ohh woww i'll haf'ta checkit out :D

  • @desertshore ...well, it does, but not that much - it's not that syncopated and it is much more spacelaboratorial (early HumanLeaguish, if ykwim...), but anyway the album in which it was featured started it all ( from synthpop to hiphop) - they were also travelling in fast trains from station to station, meeting Bowie and Iggy, so it's not surprising...well, your post RULES. Sedgwick enslaved the silver screen...

  • I like kraftwerks version better too, but siouxsie uses a female protagonist, so it works better with this footage.

  • Love that song, my favorite album of siouxsie, also love israel

  • mine too. intoxicating stuff. this is from vinyl lol :D
