  • hi everyone got any questions that you wont to know about the ar.drone just tell me and ill answer.

  • I bought on DX some pairs of UV lights, facing then down only the camera will be able to capture the light from the UVs... that's a nice trick with the drone to fight at night... try that!

  • Where do I get the lights and how would I get them to blink in a pattern thanks.

  • Not likely. Attach a light external video camera such as the flycamone2

  • Would it be posable to upgrade the camera on the ar drone.

  • Thanks for the video. I different color LED strips and cables on order. I might play around with some fine electrolumanecent wire for a "TRON" look around the styrofoam frame.

  • I'm sooooo gonna freak my neighbors out :-D

  • ohh no UFO ALIENS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • little kids who dont know about the ar drone might think its a ufo

  • Another thing to make the battery life go from 15 minutes to 10 minutes!

  • Alguien sabe como se llaman esos foquitos

O tira o como se llame

Y me podría decir donde consegirlo y el costo

  • for scaring hillbilly farmers and such

  • nice!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's as loud as a quite vacuum cleaner.

  • is the ar drone really as loud as it seems?

  • @lilmike2837 It's even more

  • The built in resistors do all the work.

I have made a down-firing pod of LEDs that do work and tap into the existing LED strips for power.

  • Great video. Thank you for posting. If you use fewer leds do you have to add resistors? Or do the built in resistors in the strip allow any amount of lights?

Are these bright enough to shine downward to help night hovering as you mentioned in the video? Have you tried any experiments with that yet?

  • It's mentioned in the video.

  • Where can purchase the LED strips?

  • I'm in Pennsylvania. Wouldn't know anything about part sources in the UK.

  • I've modded my mod to include down firing LED pods.

  • I like this mod a lot.

A more useful alternative would be affixing two LEDs either side of the frontal camera and also putting strips either side of the bottom camera to serve purpose as a searchlight, making the drone usable at night. Can you do this? And also, how could I get hold of the parts in the UK?

  • Parrot.com

  • Very beautiful. I want to buy. Please let me know the address where you purchased it. Please ~ Here in Korea

    email: lsh7264@naver.com or YouTube

  • Thanks Tom! I figured it out! I modded a drone based on your method take a look when you get the chance.

  • hey can you tell me which balance lead extension cable to buy?

  • Careful soldering and tape to keep the bare buss wire from shorting.

  • HI Tom can you tell me how you conected the wire to teh leds wire after it comes through the hull.

  • Hi Tom, can you let me know how to attached the led leads to the wire that attaches to the battery.
