It will only reset the unit too factory settings which does NOT include your code since it wasn't put in at the factory.Nice try but keep looking!This idea is a bust.

i tried this many times.... it doesnt reset tha whole gps...i still have my pics and songs i put on there....HOW DO I GET RID OF UM AND CLEAR IT COMPLETLY?? HELP

I tried this on my 360, and after it asks if you really want to start up in maint. mode? it returns to the screen asking for your code...Did anyone try this to see if it, in fact works? This might be a very old 360, before Garmin found out that one might want to steal one ofthese things!

I saw on his screen "2005" sounds like an old 360. I tried it again, same thing with my 360. I had to put in my pin before I could change anything. Thank goodness, all is not lost!!

Thanks man - I forgot how to do this. My dad's GPS was having some problems acquiring and holding onto GPS signals and I've been trying troubleshoot it for him for days..
