perfect im married into family with ties to egypt this recipe is so right we have it with tahini not yogurt. you can also substitute the chick peas for dry soak peas they not so crumbley or mix of both. broad beans good as well
Thank you for the video Zatima. I saw it once before and couldn't find it again until now. I will be making falafel later this week. Thank you for your time in putting this very professional video together!! You make it look easy and yummy!
This is the best recipe for pitabread I have ever seen! Thank you so much! I always make them out-of-my-head so the outcome is never the same. Now I have a guideline that I have seen in function ;) Again thank you so much also for the awesome falafels!
Ramadan Karim! Thanks for the recipe; it was much easier than the other recipes I found here. I just made some today, came out great :D I kept the mixture in the fridge overnight and fried them in the morning, I think it helped prevent it from breaking apart on me. Can't wait to try your other recipes :)
I have made falafel from mix with success but when I tried your recipe it was really wet and soft. The falafel fell apart in the oil. They didnt stay in balls at all. What am I doing wrong? I used canned garbanzos not dried. Is that a problem? Thanks!
hello, I am sorry to hear that it didn't come out right. I truly think you should try using soaked dry garbanzo beans it makes all the difference in the world. make sure to drain them real good. and once they are in the hot oil pan don't mess with them for good 1 min otherwise they would fall apart. I make falafel all the time this way and its a success time after time. I wish good luck next time. take care.
i used canned garbanzo beans also. try using bread crumbs to hold it together. after i processed the beans with the onions ect... i processed hamburger buns, 1 or 2 and mix it with the bean mix. it works for me.
hello, if it works for you to use canned beans thats fine but those beans are already cooked so that makes a difference in the taste. I never tried it with canned beans though. thanks for the advice. take care
very helpful.. thank you for posting. my first falafel got good reviews, even though they looked like hockey pucks (might have had the heat on the oil too high.. was trying to maintain 350, but it was tough in between batches).
That was a very approachable recipe. Excellent format...I like the way you superimpose the direction over the video which made it very efficient. Thank you so much!
hi Zatima, can you tell me the name of the song? I know Asala sings but i dont know the name of the song.
Shukran!
