  • Bravo! You are The Master of Subtle Details.

  • Bravo! You are The Master of Subtle Details.

  • Mayako, llevas a una española dentro!

  • Brava!

  • Oh boy, it ends on the dominant. WHY??

  • @JollyBard A lot of music does that, I just played a prelude by Bach who did just that.

  • Wow! Amazing, wonderful!

  • I have long loved this but not heard it for many, many years. It has about it a unique touch of sheer insanity. It sounds like the head content of a serial killer on acid. Relentless and unwavering. Absolutely fantastic. I guess the performance is OK as well.

  • its a very nice preformance but in my point of view acording to the age of the piece thers way to much tempo movement it looses sence some times the time should be stragith with slightly changes not those cuts that sounds like errors, its very well played tho and as i said its just my point of view an dmy favorite verions its Pieter Jean Belder one. Nice to see good musicians in you tube not just stupid videos

  • The best version of fandango in d minor on you tube.

  • Thank you so much! Immediatly among my favourites.

  • I cannot stand listening to this!

    I want to dance :-)

  • Quel son de clavecin ... et quel toucher !!!!

  • Except for the cut, this is a nice alternative to Staiers Version. Solers Fandango needs Freedom (and therefore variety) in speed for becoming alive.

  • ... and she's beutiful too!

  • Brava!

  • There are regrettable cuts. But she gets the spirit of the "fandango" remarkably well. I could not help shouting a "olé" or two.

And, of course, they don't make priests like old padre Soler anymore.

  • Simply beautiful. Bravissimo!!!

  • give me that harpsichord!!

unfortunately, this was only 'nice' music tho

her mentor scott ross would probs not have been impressed

  • Hermoso...

  • YES!

  • I don't think Mayako Soné is more virtuose than the MAGNIFIC Scott Ross, but I think each one has their special for of performance, all of them play it very passionated, and imprimate their special print, each one to their own

  • I agree. The fandango is a dance of passion and fire, neither of which this technically OK version has. Nice harpschord, though!

  • This performance is notable, but in my oppinion Rafael Puyana offers the best version available. MaestroNiagara2 is right, this piece is not a minuet, is to be played more wildy.

    In short, with "cojones".

  • I am not understanding this "respect the notes" comment either. A Fandango is not some soft sarabande or a graceful minuet of a Suite or Partita; its supposed to be a fiery Iberian piece so fast and improvisational. I like Scott Ross but his Fandango is nothing too special-I prefer Andreas Staier version more myself. To be perfectly honest, I don't like the French double for this piece as it doesn't give much room to change registration. I would rather play this piece with a 16ft in places.

  • The 16' would be perfect for many places in this piece I agree totally.

  • @MaestroNiagara2 " I would rather play this piece with a 16ft in places," which neither Scarlatti or Soler had access to let alone ever heard. I play it on a Italian one manual both stops 8' (closest I can get to a Spanish Harpsichord) The registration is in the music.

  • she probably played it too often. lost contact to the piece. just wants to get rid of it. so she rushes through the easy parts, slowing down when it gets difficult. no concept! she should respect the notes, not claptrap-grandstand. 2:42 to 2:54: this is just wrong! compare to scott ross on /watch?v=uvK49gAlNGY at 7:42 to 8:02 . that's where virtuosity shows! she's like these bus tourists visiting "europe in five days". they've been there, but they didn't get it.

  • what ARE you talking about? Respect the notes? You mean 'play robot-like with microsecond duration conformity'? You obviously have no concept of music. Study the term 'rubato' and perhaps you appear less foolish in the future.

  • herrlich! meisterhaft gespielt...

  • Supber interpretation ! Bravo !

  • GUAU!!!

Grazie!

  • Simplemente maravilloso ^^

  • ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!

  • It sounds marvelous. Very clear and brilliantly performed..

But c'mon, who cropped out that part from this clip? You can notice the discontinuity at 2:29.. An important part is missing.

  • you are right.

  • ¡Que maravilla! Hashime mashite. Arigato. Wakarimashita'

  • Como se llama la pieza?

  • Fandango, del Padre Soler

  • Than better stick to romantic piano I would like to say.

  • bowser's castle!

    ^_^

She becomes beautiful whenever she repeats age.

  • Muy bien ejecutado, sí señor!! Felicidades.

  • excelent music of father soler

  • What a pitty that the piece is not complete in this video, we have missed the best!(and the most difficult...), in any case, what I heard was very nice.

  • I posted whole music. Please check my channel. :)

  • She's like a God. Have you listened Scarlatti's fandango played by Mayako Soné???
