My music teacher made us watch this the day before the last day of school, which was 2 days ago... the moment the music started, I was like"that's sooo rocky horror". When they were doing "there's science in music o ya!", I was doing "let's do the time warp again!"
@ukiki11 Yeah. All of the music videos that Bill Nye did were remakes of hit songs from popular movies or famous recording artist. I remember the Human Brain episode. The music video for that episode was called "What A Brain" which was a remake of rappers Salt & Peppa's hit song "What A Man". It was a good way to catch the attention of children everywhere. By taking all the hit songs from Pop Culture, rearranging them as a dedication to science. Genius. Beakman's World and Bill Nye rock forever!
Our hummanities teacher had a heart attack last year...im sure part of the reason was our non-stop loud singing of THERES SCIENCE IN MUSIC OH YEAAAA!!!!!!!!... woops
What thgey use to do on this show was remake popular songs from mainstream music back then and make them scientific. I remember when he took rappers "Salt & Peppa" song "What A Man" and turned it into a song called "What A Brain" because the episode was about how the human brain worked. Bill just took the song and made it his own. This one I believe he borrowed a little of the sound from The Rocky Horor Picture Show. He used the "Time Warp" song from the film. Just a bit of the sound.
This is great! I was an extra in this when I was 16 and I never say it until now... a little disappointing that my big solo dance was cut, but you do see me standing next to Bill Nye for approx 2 seconds! (at 2:26, dark hair all in Yellow!) Thanks so much! My husband now believes me!
@ghidorah15 Not to mention this song was from the second last first-run episode. They had "All In Motion" as the last Bill Nye music video parody of the run - complete with snippets from past BNTSG episodes, and the closing credits containing more past snippets each with Bill Nye saying "SCIENCE!!!". At the very end, a snippet from the "Dinosaurs" episode where Bill Nye said "Just like that!" and snapping his fingers, closing out the series after exactly 100 episodes. It was a great show.
bill nye is gangster XD
