Nice one! Thinking of going backpacking in Borneo in September.Where's good snorkelling areas and is Borneo expensive? Cheers for any advice.

We went scuba diving in Lankawi... although I've heard there's plenty of good diving sites on the eastern side of Borneo...

Overall it's quite cheap, especially food, drink and transport - although not as cheap as other south east asian countries like vietnam or indonesia.

Awesome trip! Kinabalu was more difficult coming down than going up (tougher on the muscles), but well worth the effort!!! You will have a great time!
