It makes me sad and worried that in the moments I don't hold this truth in my focus, it is replaced by selfishness, resentment, anger, fear, thoughts of revenge, thoughts of disgust toward my fellow brothers and sisters... I fall short of truth most of the time.

A very long time ago, I stumbled across this concept. I can't even remember where or when I heard about it, but somehow the ideal of it struck a cord in my heart. How do I distiguish kindness: if I give an unemployed person money to soothe their povery or refuse to give in order to aid their social rehab? which is the kindest? It's a fine line, folks

This is what hurts many "christians". we are suppose to help one another and show them the light, and yet instead they are condemning everyone to hell whoo does not do as they say right off the bat. everyone should learn to be kind. it would help so many people.

We are all human, the world is full of all kinds of different people, and some kindness, no matter what religion or colour the other person is, is a beautiful thing. Your statment justs gives me chills, and even Jesus Christ never said anything like you've just said, in fact he said quiet the opposite!

A very long time ago, I stumbled across this concept. I can't even remember where or when I heard about it, but somehow the ideal of it struck a cord in my heart. It costs nothing to be kind or compassionate to those in need or less fortunate than ourselves. "There but for the grace of god go I". Sometimes a simple act of kindness to a stranger can bring them a little hope and lift their spirit.

Beautiful and uplifting but my cynical side is sad because so many people are not kind. I opened the newspapers yesterday and the first thing I saw is the ban on whaling is probably going to be lifted and I despair and that was just the first page.

@recallrealidentity Serving God actually causes less kindness then you think. If everybody were atheist there would be less conflict and hatred in the world. There would also be more freedom, religion is a destructive tool created by the human elite to control the masses. It was created by man at a time when it was hard to explain human kinds existence amongst other things. Now that science can explain these things, religion is obsolete. This is as much atheist as it is a Christian message.

This is a new age video and is lacking in the Christian Message that our purpose in life is to love God, love each other and share the gospel in love. If you are not a Christian, you may find this video soothing, if you are a Christian it seems pretty... but empty. I like the melodies of Enya but I found some of the quotes to be not to my liking. Nice video ... wrong message.

Nothing wrong with acts of kindness though, just lose the Talmud quote.

I never got close, on my memories, from the Talmud, but I believe the intention is to mention truthful phrases and truthfull all they are. Why deny divinity to life? Talmud as well as any Bible, talks about the truth: life is divine even for those who do not believe in God. We're free, remember that, from our origen, in our particular and individual faiths.

serving others is a noble cause and very admirable, but there are so many people who will take advatage of your kindness, if u let that happen too often, u will become less kind yourself....unless u have complete detachment, which in the west is almost unheard of :( its a cumulative problem, everyone out for themselves and so the world becomes a less caring and colder place
