  • it needs to be conected to a battery for the ignition coil to produce a spark

  • @kjs12224 yes i am aware of that. but the voltage regulator for the generator was damaged so it doesnt allow things to work as they should. i need to find out how to convert another voltage regulator to opperate the same way or find another. but i had it running once with some tinkering

  • Hello, I just got one of these I hear they are Delco Little Joe Generator. I post a vid of one too.

  • @whizzer47 cool! yeah i think they were all made by delco powered by a little continental red seal engine. they were sold through sears as a tiny tim generator wards as the airline generator delco like yours and it might have been badged more names than that.

  • Looks like it is in good shape!

  • @Hallaran yeah it is. i have had it running but it wont produce any charge yet.

  • i have one like this it has an OLD!!!!!!! briggs on it it is coool

  • @ils360 what year is it? if its an old briggs just run the serial #.

  • @1944johndeerel i can't find one i will post a video of it to day =)

  • hi is generator for sale thanks greg

  • nope! not for sale! ive just got it running. and now i have to fix the generator as it is not currently charging.

  • ever get it running?

  • not yet

  • would like to help out. it needs to produce a current in the gen before you will get spark. if you take the coil feed and hook to the battery side, it should supply power to the coil. clean and set your points and you should have a spark.

does the unit crank over on its own with a good battery hooked up?.

  • ive cranked it with my 1/2hp wagner electric motor before to see if it would produce any power. never hooked a battery to it yet. does it need a battery hooked up to make spary or does it just produce its own power using the generator?

  • hook up a good battery. use the start button to crank it over. that energise the coil and make a spark. remove plug before trying so you can see whats going on. it needs some batt power to juice up coil thru the gen circuit. batt power excites the gen field windings and makes it all work. if it dont crank with a good batt, it might not run, unless you connect the coil directly to a battery.

  • ok ill have to charge up my batt and see what happens thanks!

  • hi, just checking in to see how its going

  • wow that's a weird tiny little carbureator! hope you get it running soon

  • im going to hook it up to a battery to see if i can get spark. i belted it to my 1/2 hp wagner motor and couldent get it to produce its own spark! so im going to try an external power source. then ill clean out the ancient gas and clean the carb and go from there!

  • hi, have just picked up one of these at a swap meet here in new zealand. mine is 12 volt and runs mint. a neat little machine.

  • i wish mine would even have spark

  • nice engine! that thing is really tiny for a 4cycle!

  • it sure is if i can figure out why i have no spark and fixit i will show it running

  • Nice little generator! I had one just like it. If you hook a good battery up to it and hit the starter button, it should have spark as long as all the ignition components are good. If you hook it up to a dead battery to be charged, I know that you have to hold the starter button down while rope starting the engine in order to get spark. I'm not sure if it will have spark without a battery hooked up to it.

  • thanks i'll try it on the tractor battery
