I don't really believe that Orwell type of tyranny is possible in our time but I do believe that we're headed towards the Brave New World described by Huxley. It's more easy to control people by pleasure than by pain , it's easier to control people by drugs than by sticks. That's the real danger ,control by pleasure rather than pain. Unfortunately like Benjamin Franklin once said " Those who would trade freedom for some temporary security deserve neither freedom nor security"

I would just like to address the irony of showing the U.S. Constitution. It was written "We the People" and speaks of consent of the governed when it was only signed by 39 wealthy aristocrats presuming to consent for millions, not only those alive then but those who would be born into its bondage for generations. It should be no surprise that a fallacy built on the foundation of a lie fails to preserve liberty.
