alot of people forget that this song was written at a time when americans were fighting for theyr freedom against tyranny....now, when i see the flag of america, i think of tyranny....our government and the people that support it, have destroyed america...this is no longer a land of the free, it is the land of oppressive government and dictatorship...a land where the government is the master, and the people are subjects of the master...the opposite of the america over 200 years ago

I was 13 years old when UN and US soldiers recaptured Seoul from Communist. The first thing we saw was the Stars and Stripes.Banner. Now I am 70 years old and I still have a vivid memory of what the American Flag meant "FREEDOM" I am a proud American. I visited their website and noted that in 2009, the U.S. had a rating of 1 for Civil Liberties as well as Political Liberties. If there are indeed 17 countries ahead of us, it would be revealing how many had benefited from U.S. intervention to help secure that status. Much like your country in the 1940's, correct? I seem to recall a dictator who had the U.K. in his sights, but it didn't work out as he planned.

Hitler would never have successfully invaded Britain. His attempt in 1940 was less than enthusiastic. He wanted Russia. Not Britain. If America did not enter the war in December 1941, Churchill would have been removed and Britain and Germany would have signed a peace treaty. Lord Halifax planned this. Then Britain would have re-armed for a while, and re-declared war. This is what we did to Napoleon.

Once Obama is gone, as well as the millions of illegals, people on welfare and medicare/medicaid (US state run insurance), and all government spending on the public and on foreign aid. But too many people are weak, are ready to have their heart strings pulled. It's not the government's money, it's someone elses, so what credit is it to the government if it uses money that they STOLE to help people?
