Kathy sing well but she needs vocal techique training and I believe she did under JYP casting, however the performance ep10 the song assigned to her did not showcase her vocal well. And JYP knows that and wanted to cast her again but he has 1 card left which he wanted to save for casting Lee Hai. I don't know why YG and BOA did not want to cast her, she has potential..

Hai didnt outshine her in voice alone during this performance but in charisma and style. kathy is a great singer but she needs to find her niche and learn how to express herself

I've been watching this show since the very beginning with no subs and I'm not korean so I don't understand. But you can TOTALLY see that JYP freaking LOVED HaiLee from the very beginning, hes such a fanboy when he sees any sight of her and he quickly forms a smile once she sings too. I think Kathy's voice is excellent in it's own right. Both she and Hai were great as a duo. She may not be able to pull off "soul-ful" as well as Hai, but I personally think she can shine in other songs.
