  • esta es de mis favoritas !!! :)

  • Does any one know what keys she is playing from 0:13 - 0:26 ? Or know where I could find the sheet music for this song?

  • @3Days2LiveX well, go to a yaho group called regispek, and then click files, then Songs and i think it's there if i'm correct

  • This song reminds me of The Social Network.

  • Oh noes! My ideas!

  • haha, there's a mistake in the title, it should be "Bonne idée" :p

But from Regina, it's just cute :)

  • Bonne Idée***

  • god, who could dislike this? I lovelovelovelovelovelovelovelovelove it!!!!!!!!!!

  • An album called Songs. I love this woman

  • What I most love about her music is that she doesn't concern about "meaning" or something like that. She only writes down the first thing that comes up in her mind and turn out to be something so beautiful. This is a rare gift, to put down something not trying to mean anything, and actually, meaning everything for those who listen.

  • @SKSelphie I agree...

  • I WOULD HAVE HOPE FOR HUMANITY IF MORONS STOPPED HITTING THE DISLIKE BUTTON!

  • I love this song <3

It reminds me a bit of emilie autumn, the music etc.

    I love regina spektor

  • I just got the CD in the mail! OMFG!!!! I probably......have heard every song on it already so its nothing new really. But im still psyched that I finally got myself a copy!

  • @elebunny45 I just bought one on E-bay today. 3-6 business days...sad-face.

  • @Astrapsody

Its worth the wait!!! I promise!!!

  • show tunes and P.M.S....cool

  • where can i learn to play this?

  • that 1 dude(tte) is in an asylum, on drugs, or reallly really mean.

  • this is great, but scary. the bits that are like (intentionally) offkey.. freaky...

  • Thank you, Nick!

You're a real Spektor Collector.--A treasure, both her and your collection.

  • I really love lyrics of all of her songs...genius

  • I really like her real eyebrows!

  • Only Regina Sektor could get away with intentionally going flat or sharp. It's intentional and perfect and goes with the song.

I love this song. It's haunting and so sad.

  • This is maybe the first song by Regina where I prefer the lyrics to the music (I don´t think it´s bad!).

  • I know precisely what you mean. Because the lyrics are so amazing. So perfect.

  • I love the little trill she does at 0:16! It sounds like it could be from some classical harpsichord piece of music.

  • @JustPuppyLuv I thought baroque, but I like it oo, it's cute ^_^

  • @OhWowItsChristie - Gah, I meant baroque. :P Actually, I didn't mean to put classical OR baroque in at all. My brain was a little frazzled that day.

  • @JustPuppyLuv

so true! she is truly inspired by bach :) give a listen to his "inventions" and you'll see what i mean, especially number one and four. :)

  • Looking at all the comments on how it's bonne and not bon, I have to say - isn't it likely that Regina could have used bon on purpose?

  • Hello I love Regina's music but you don't "bon idée"in frech, you say "bonne idée".

  • why don't you tell Regina that? lol

  • hahaha, seriously, good idea!! I would like to write to her. Excellent!

  • une bonne idee ???

  • "BON IDEE" doesnt exist in french... im french, trust me ^^

  • my favourite song by her

  • It was a bon idee to write this song.

  • hahahahaha : D

  • She misspelled ''Bonne idée''.

    Haha

It means ''Good idea'' in French.

  • Not really! Good can be masculine or feminine. And so it can be "Bon Idee" or "Bonne Idee". : )

  • You are right on that, ''Bon'' or ''Bonne'' can both be used in written French.

But the noun ''Idée'' is feminine, so you have to write the adjective ''Bonne'' to go with the noun.

My first language is French, so trust me ;)

I come from Québec, in Canada. It's a French speaking province.

  • this is why i will always lament i never learnt french when it was easier to.

  • I like how you informed us that it's a French-speaking province. I really hope that most people don't need that clarification. :)

  • I used to live in Seattle when I was younger, and when people found out I spoke French, they immediately said: "Oh, you're from France!" Unfortunately, I had to inform them that Québec was indeed a French-speaking province... apparently the proximity of Qc to the States has nothing to do with knowing that.

  • She's also apparently not a fan of adverbs. I love her hardcore (I'm seeing her tonight! Yay!) so don't freak out and "unlike" this a bajillion times. I'm not knocking her. But she's an artist, so we overlook minor details like "And you will miss them oh so bad"(LY).

  • steftube89 is right. i'm from quebec too and you actually CAN'T say "bon idée".

it's like saying "it's an good idea", you know ?

  • Yes, song is sad and a little bit depressing, but "home" at the end sounds relatively optimistic... I like the poet in Regina. She sings about real world, not about fairy-tales...

  • I love the deliberate dissonance in this song. None of the popular "songwriters" nowadays would dare stray from the 1-4-5 chord progressions.

  • Bonne idée*

  • oh my gosh! right at the very 1st second of this song i loved it!

  • I think she wrote the part about the gods probably because, since shes Jewish, she learned that the isrealites left their god and that he left them , so she probably read it and inspired her to write that part. :]

  • Does the title mean 'good idea?' My french isn't that good.. =)

  • It sure does c:

  • this song is depressing but i like it

  • I am amazed by her unique sound. Her voice is lovely. And I love the piano accompaniment.

  • actually, it is 'bonne idée' lol. feminine word, so the adjective bon because feminine to bonne.

  • She reminds me of the new tori amos

  • that was literally just going through my mind.

    x

  • Xcept Regina isn't wearing stupid wigs now and making stupid teenybopper music. Tori used to be awesome, now she's following Metallica and all the other sellouts.

  • the best by Regina..

  • oh this one is wonderful! :O

  • I just love the classical element in this song. The trills are a very awesome touch, so is all the dissonance. She is so amazingly creative.

  • She kind of sounds like Bjork in this song.

    Love it!

    <333

  • Yeah, she reminds me of Bjork 2 !

  • I want this CD so badly. Re-release it, darn it!

  • The CD is still available from the CDBaby site.

  • @slicknick1986 yeh thats true but u have to get a account and everything :P

  • or buy it off ebay, amazon, itunes... the possibilities are always endless :)

  • @gyymnasticsismylife I've gotten it from amazon. Like, recently. From sellers. It was only, oh... 20 bucks? Not bad, I'd say. =)

  • Regina makes it all better.

  • I'd love to just have a conversation with this woman. I think it would be amazing.

  • @NikkiFaery

I just be left wanting more.

Marriage, I think, would be an amicable solution :)

  • One of the most beautifully written sons I have EVER EVER EVER heard.

:} Inspired me to write a three page poem.

  • Beautiful and meaningful song. It reminds me of a book I'm reading. Also, doesn't the music suit the theme? It sounds very deliberate and dark with that inkling of Victorian/church music underneath, I think. Simply wonderful.

  • @elizaklaver what book were you reading?

  • Great advice in this song.
