  • Is there much multitouch software for mac at the moment?

  • hi, nice MT

a am buliding MT table too. i will use DI tehnology. i have ps3 eye and two ir reflectors but a am wondering what you use for diffuser. i dont have any idea about what to use for good diffuser

  • First of all, if you've got budget try to add another 2 of the IR illuminators. of course if you go for a screen size as big as mine. for the diffuser, I used a $2 disposable table cloth from warehouse in Australia. People at nuigroup forum (cradle of amateur MT) used the same table cloth and got good results. and lately a guy found an American equivalent of the table cloth. If you're in USA I think you can obtain it. check out the related post here nuigroup (.) com/forums/viewthread/3176/P45/

  • Hey, I'm making one as well. Do you think frosted glass would make a decent diffuser? I found a cheap 18x24 inch sheet that's 1/4 inch thick for 22 bucks...

  • Excellent and very professional build, be proud. After watching several videos, i have decided that DI is the way to go, My projector is coming, as well as my IR. one question though. I am thinking of using the WII remote, since it is an IR Sensor. But it only has the capability of tracking 4 blobs, have you really needed more that 4 points in using your system?

  • Hi. Glad you liked it. I had no experience with Wii. Actually I havent thought about how many points I am good with. But it is good to have the freedom of using all the fingers at the same time. after all MT used at home is to show off to friends :) and you need applications in which you use all the fingers :) I say dont limit yourself to 4 points

    cheers

  • Hey mate..what exact camera do you use?

  • Hı There

I used Xbox 360 live vision cam, IR filter replaced with two layer of photo negatives.

    cheers

  • I must say, amazing job and almost no lag time!

  • Oh and a question, how much in materials did you spend on this? How much did the projector and camera cost?

  • hey thanks for the comments! camera is AUD 45 and projector cost around AUD 250 as I bought one with blown up lamp and refurbished it with a bulb from china which costs US 50. another AUD 200 on other stuff like illuminators and the box itself. around AUD 500. check nuigroups for more info

    cheers

  • amazing!

  • This thing is awesome. I just have one question. Hiw did u get the screen in the same spot as the sensors

  • I dont use a sensor I use Infrared illuminators and a modified web cam. I also project the image by using a projector. you can get much more info at nuigroup com/forums

  • WoW...

That's awesome man... truly truly awesome.

Ok, got a question for ya...

Can I use 'single touch' with regular windows applications like instead of the mouse pointer.

Does touchlib give you that opportunity?

  • Hi

    glad you liked it! :)

You can use mouse driver coming with touchlib package. also there is "risenparadigm's" multimouse which is a more advanced version and allow gestures.

  • WoW...

    thanks mate!

And, I forgot to add this in your previous comment...

Your box's finish is like totally awesome...

  • man... that is such a nice build.. i love how thin the screen edges are :) keep it up!

  • Thanks man, appreciate it! I want to run ~Lux on it though ;-)
