I have been driving for three decades and believe me lot lizards are nowhere as bad as they were back in the 80s. The old 76 in Ontario Ca. used to pump your fuel while a lizard pumped the driver. The cb is quieter now,the lizards are more scarce and the drugs are far less out on the road.

My husband is a Professional Driver & I was otr with him for 3 years. He has been driving for over a decade & I could tell some stories!!

I used to have the cam going in the truck but it was for protection against 4 wheelers that might hit us & try a lottery lawsuit.

The lot lizards would see me with him & still knock on the door,let me say this..the majority of Drivers are so tired when they find a parking space they just want sleep & don't care for the banging that wakes them up.

Usually we leave our parking lights on so other trucks parking next to you can see where the corner of yer truck is without damaging it. Some leave them on for lot lizards too. lol.

We monitor the truck stops some. But that is private property and without a semi you tend to stick out. Also, once inside the truck and in the bunk area, the occupants have a legal "reasonable expectation of privacy".

I am a trucker who has stopped at the shell several times over the years,and can assure you they drive themselves there,get rides from other truckers,walk up,and on a couple of occasions dropped off by the cops. And when they do, they don't respond to prostitution calls. Calls to 911 are dispatched based on priority and availability of officers. I have no problem with it an neither should you. On the other hand many/most of our street prostitutes are very violent offenders. Many have been convicted for assault, armed robbery, drug dealing, and a even murder, manslaughter and sexual assault of another. These are not PTA moms making a few extra bucks on the streets.
