Yes, English accent when speaking Chinese.

I have this very same problem, I was born in Australia but I speak English with a asian accent and vietnamese/cantonese in a English accent.

  • don't be ignorant

  • you got a chinese accent when you speak english,

you got an american accent when you speak canto.

but your canto is way worse than your english ;)

  • Yeah, when you speak english you sound very slightly chinese, and I don't speak chinese but from what I've heard, you sound like you have a slight general american accent rather than full-on chinese.

It's nothing all that noticeable, someone would only notice it if they were looking for it.

  • its common to have such kinda accents if an abroad asian ( cantonees ) try to speak its parents language. I'm to just like you born abroad China/HK . watch more sattelit tv , HKTVB or other channels.
