  • I just want it for the lights

  • two questions:

Firstly, does the DA have the high liftoff on a hard mat?

Secondly, are the sides really slippery, and do you get used to it on the DA?

  • @rubmypenguin01

    1. Well I have not used the DA for about 6 months, but as far as I remember it did not have the problem.

    2. Although the sides are shinny, they do not slip while you hold it.

  • so which on better ???for the cs ?

  • LMFAO at the first joke.

  • Rofl, the first Imperator already beats Deathadder hands down. DA is such an ugly mouse, I tried both mouses and I can tell that Imperator definitely wins it. Own it for 10 months now.

  • Razer DeathAdder! <3 I own him and i'm really happy with him. :D

  • death adder too big. imperator right size but cost more xD

  • just buy a regular ball mouse ahahhaha xD

  • Would you recommend a 9HD for a DeathAdder or should I think at another mousepad? You also said you only use hard pads, long long usually razor feets last on a hard surface. I've been only using soft pads so I never had this problem.

  • @SpeedDaemon3

Well, the answer is not simple, but , after the New Year I will be uploading a video exatly about that problem, so I think it will answer all your questions.

  • Hi what would you pick, the Imperator 4G, or the Razer DeathAdder?

Also consider that Imperator costs a lot more than the Deathadder.

  • @zGnomie

    Imperator 4G all the way!

  • finally an adult review.

  • The new 4G Imperator or Steelseries Sensei.....plz help?

  • @KibeMadafaka

    My choice: 4G Imperator

  • Comment removed

  • @KibeMadafaka

As far as I know it is fixed on the new one.

  • @Frostbitebampiru What mouse do you recommend, the Logitech G9x or the Razer Imperator 2012? Thanks!

  • @KibeMadafaka sensei for sure.

  • good review, talk sense compared to the rest !

  • I will not use dpi more than 1600 and polling rate more than 600....what matters to me is 1)Tracking 2)Weight & Grip 3)Fit and Finish...i use my fingertip to hold the mouse and I like lightweight mouses as I am a mid to high sensitivity gamer ....Should I go for the death adder or the new imperator.....also which mouse pad should i use?? PLEASE HELP FROSTBITE :-)

  • @MrLalju

Get the new 4G Dual-Sensor Imperator. As fo pad, it is a matter of preference. I use only hard pads, like the Razer Scarab or the SS 9HD, it is a matter of preference. If you can afford it get the Razer Ironclad.

  • i dont put my palm on my mouse and your able to slide a finger between my hand and the mouse so would you recomand the imperator ?

  • @TheKlayfish

    Yes

  • It's simple. I live in Portugal and I can give a max, of 75 euros for a mouse. I care a lot about the design reply me on wich mouse should I buy. ty

  • @25anOZ

    Thanks!

  • @25anOZ not really bro

  • Hey! I'm buying a mouse soon and I'm really confused between the standard Deathadder/Deathadder Black and the 6400 DPI dual-sensor Imperator. I'm using a Goliathus Control edition. Which one would you recommend? Thanks in advance!

  • @Hunterbgpz

See the Razer site for more info on the 4G Dual-Sensor. Out of those 3, the Imperator 4G is the best by a long shot. The new Imperator 4G is much better than the old Imperator in the video.

  • @Frostbitebampiru

Well, I rarely use more than 1400 DPI, so I don't really need more than it. What I'm concerned about is ergonomics and fit. I'll check Razer's store and I'll try to get a hold of both mice to get a clear idea of what I'm going for. Thanks for the quick reply.

    Cheers!

  • @Hunterbgpz

Mate, check Razer's site. It;s not just the extra DPI. The 4G sensor has much better tracking that the older sensors. Search for reviews on it.

  • I like the imperators shape. But i've read it weighs less than the deathadder. I like a heavier mouse. I currently have a 120 gram Logitech g500. what would you recommend?!

  • @SolidPRAWN

Get the new Imperator, the 6400 DPI 4G Dual-sensor one. It is much better that the one in the video.

  • Razer mouses on steelseries top :D Good one!

  • OMG i just love the way you make the comparisson!!! :DD

  • Great comparison, Frostbitebampiru! Really helpful. Greetings from Bulgaria! :)

  • Loved this, gonna choose the Imperator because i'm a claw when it comes to my mouse holding. :P

  • @VonZeb

Go for the new Imperator, the 4G Dual Sensor is much better that the Imperator in the video.

  • @Frostbitebampiru is that the one with 5600 dpi?

  • @VonZeb

The 4G one has 6400 DPI, and it has replaced the one in the video (5600 DPI)

  • @Frostbitebampiru well where can I find it? Like on which website?

  • @VonZeb

    Try Razer's online strore

  • @Frostbitebampiru @VonZeb Nevermind I'll buy this one since it's cheaper, but thank you for caring :P

P.S Checked up on the store and it was 80 dollars and in swedish money it's like 54.4 euros, only problem is that they does'nt ship stuff to Sweden :P

  • Can you change Dpi on imperator W/ out Driver ? and Can you tell the default DPi once Mouse Attatched to USB ??

  • what the best mouse for cs 1.6?

  • you forgot 2 minor details i personally always check before buying a new mouse.

    1. Is imperator lighter, heavier or about same weight as DA.

    2. Is it wider, more narrow or same width as DA.

I own a 3.5g DA nad the mouse is great, except it's just a little too wide, for my hands tends to cramp up, now i have a new roccat kova which even though is an excellent mouse it's little too narrow so again my hand cramps cause i squeeze too hard.

Call me picky but width is very important IMO.

  • frostbitebampiru

At the final of the comparision, what mouse do you prefer? Because i have the deathadder but i wanna to trade by another because DA it's giving me problems on the buttons, and it's irreparable and I wanna to trade, and i was thinking on the razer Imperator, what do you think, should I buy the imperator or not?

By the Way, Great Review. And sorry for my bad english, i am portuguese and i don't speak very well xd. Congratz =)

  • @andreribeiro07

Get the new Imperator. It has 6400 DPI and the 4G Dual Sensor. Check out Razer's site for more info.

The tracking is much better than on the current Imperator.

  • @Frostbitebampiru Thanks pal, just one more question, I play with semi palm-grip, you know, like, my palm doensn't stay all on the mouse, it stays more on mousepad, you know what I mean?

  • @andreribeiro07

Yes, the Imperator will work with your grip style.

  • @Frostbitebampiru

Thanks mate, you're the boss ^^

  • Razer Imperator still has a lift off issue, but I do not see this frustrating feature during gameplay or surfing the Internet. I like this mice very much like Frostbitebampiru. If U want to buy a perfect mice for gaming, Razer Imperator 3.5G or 4G is a perfect choice 4 U. Salute!

  • Thanks for the review. I use fingertip grip and have medium-small hands, I use a very low DPI for mmorpg games but want higher settings for FPS. I had heard the Imperator shakes a little at low DPI though. Is the Imperator still smooth at low settings? Thanks

  • @ChefGrogs

I don't use low DPI, but i tried it out and i didn't notice any problems. I will have to try a longer gaming session at low DPI before i can make a precise assessment.

  • @Frostbitebampiru Thanks for the fast response! It's hard to get an honest review for the Imperator, most really exaggerate problems which is why I didn't know whether to buy it or not. I had heard the DeathAdder's lazer was smoother overall but I liked more features on the Imperator. So i'm glad you say the Imperator still feels smooth on low DPI, I guess buying it and getting hands on will soon tell if it feels right for me. Thanks again for the honest review.

  • @Frostbitebampiru Hey man I want to ask you which mouse should i get?

i have the razer imperator and i want toupgrade or to 4g imperator or to deathadder so which one?

  • nice comparison thanks.

  • I give you a like :D

  • @dkmorbidus

    Thanks m8!

  • since i've been wondering which kind to buy on both imperator and orochi i'd like to ask if you ever had a chance to compare both imperator and orochi kinds. I'm a fingertip grip as you and i've got a quite small hand so big mices are not for me. And also i play RTS such as Starcraft2 atm, but i always played fps as well. Would you mind to suggest me which kind between orochi and imperator would fit better for me? Thank you mate, great review btw.

  • @emanl84

Hey, i have tried the Orochi only once and i did not like it because it was too small for my hand. If you have small hands it can be ideal for fingertip Grip. With small hands you will not be able to fingertip the Imperator, because it is too large.

  • Yeh, im kinda between these two, i am still not sure wich to buy. Tell me on comments please or message me :P the one that gets most votes will be bought by me :)

  • @LandriV

Imperator all the way, overall, it feel much smoother to use that the DeathAdder.

  • @Frostbitebampiru Thanks man, im ordering off ebay since amazon can't support icelandic purchases :P

    (btw im ordering imperator)

  • Deathadder >> Imperator
